There were spiders in the tube, but I have zero doubt which of the 2 scenes he was thinking about when thinking of famous moments from Dr. No, especially with that hand holding it.

Gillette likes mixing literary and film aesthetics; his previous covers were female-themed and the titles often seemed projected onto the shapes. The Man with the Golden Gun even used a very similar font to that of the film’s poster campaign. And his Tracy seems to wear Diana Rigg’s wedding dress - but, true to the book, she’s a blonde.
I don’t mind it, the covers are still a great design and will no doubt appeal to collectors.

We have a confession, and apology, to make.
In our last missive we made a mistake, wrongly attributing the quote ‘The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success’ to Ian Fleming, when in fact the credit for this line lies with screenwriter Bruce Feirstein, who worked on _GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough_, and a half-dozen James Bond video games. Our sincerest apologies go to Mr. Feirstein for this error.
In Feirstein’s own words: ‘On one hand, I’m flattered that people think Ian Fleming wrote that line. But on the other, for me, he remains the master. There is no Bond without him’.

Hopefully the announcement of a new JAMES BOND novel–remember him?
But undoubtedly more likely something along the lines of the first 500 or 1,000 orders will get a signed edition.

A title reveal for Kim Sherwood’s third Double 00 book.

Another Spinoff?
Hopefully though as @Double-OhAgent said a new JAMES BOND novel. Hopefully set in modern day.
I’m hoping for one (or honestly all of these). Of course it depends on the spinoff character of choice.

In all likelihood. I haven’t been impressed with the literary side of things for a while. I just can’t get excited about constant re-releases of the books, and I completely oppose the idea of the edited editions. The only thing that’s going to make me sit up and pay attention is new content about the man himself, James Bond. Not other agents or side characters like Q.

Maybe it’ll be an announcement where they tell us that they’re removing James Bond from the “James Bond” novels and replacing him with either Q or Moneypenny.

IFP has already done that with Moneypenny. Next year, Q will get the same treatment. Running away from MI6 like Bond does often.
