> [@Yellow-Pinky](#): > > That’s inspired! Very much in keeping with the Telly Savalas approach to the character. Thanks. 🙂 That was kind of the goal after I couldn’t find someone that I thought could make the radical physical changes that Blofeld makes in the novels work all that well. Upon further review, he also looks quite a bit like the _007 Legends_ version of Blofeld. **You Only Live Twice** (2024) James Bond - Rupert Friend Kissy Suzuki - Satomi Ishihara Ernst Stavro Bofeld - Michael Chiklis Irma Bunt - Diane Kruger Tiger Tanaka - Hiroshi Abe Dikko Henderson - Mel Gibson M - Jason Isaacs Mary Goodnight - Yvonne Strahovski Moneypenny - Gabriella Wilde ---

Neeson as a minor baddie and Law as Tanner, I’d pay to see that! ---

Both very good. The only change I would make is to not make Cedar, Felix’s daughter. That subplot should not have made it into the book in the first place. ---

> [@theSpectre](#): > > That subplot should not have made it into the book in the first place. Agreed. I remember thinking, way back when I read the novel, that it was a weird thing to include. I guess it kind of balances out the whole daughter of Blofeld thing, which I did think was something that worked, but I agree that it was a misguided attempt to include something somewhat familiar to the reader. ---

The whole Cedar Leiter character is superfluous. It’s meant to be intriguing that an agent’s daughter is recruited and weekend/holiday-trained _without that agent noticing_. But other than acting as errand girl - which she could have done w/o training and probably would have if they had simply asked nicely - she’s just a useless damsel-in-distress. And it’s hardly believable M’s US counterparts have no other secure direct line to SIS than sending an occasional. ---

Some interesting castings lately. Sorry, I haven’t posted my next casting choice in a while. I’m afraid I’ve been in the process of moving, which has taken up most of my time these past couple of weeks or so. Right now, I’m starting to try to get things put away as well as helping my parents move and enjoying the Olympics. I hope/plan to reveal my next novel casting sometime next week or the week after at the latest. But in the meantime, keep your suggestions coming. 😀 ---

It’s not so much that she’s Felix’s daughter that’s the problem, it’s the cringeworthy “Gift of a Daughter” that should have been removed. ---

That goes without saying. But she also doesn’t add anything to the narrative before that last chapter. Cedar Leiter seems firmly written after the Dale Arden pattern. ---

I won’t deny that. They greatest thing she did was actually @Jim’s 007th Chapter in which he describes a like 10 page sequence that is mostly just Cedar topless. ---
