Thanks, things are slowly getting easier, but the red tape with paperwork is SO annoying slow!

Mine just arrived so I’ll probably dig in over the weekend.

I’ll be keeping my eyes on this. The fact it’s coming from that account must mean it’s literary related. A new book? Something to do with Dynamite Comics?

My guess is a title for book 2. Or a possible character introduction or comeback. Or another spinoff book for a iconic character. Another idea is a 70th anniversary celebration edition of Casino Royale. A big deal would be Dynamite Comic’s Moonraker adaptation. Or just another Dynamite Comics storyline.

The media are predictably going with an announcement of the next Bond actor.

Some would’ve thought who was announcing it would’ve given away it’s not that…

Indeed. I’m hoping for movement on the Dynamite Moonraker adaption. Not long until we find out.

It might just be the Bond music docu release date?

It’s a good tease. Oct. 5 is recognized as Global Bond Day and this is the 60th but I doubt it will be any film news. Why would it come from IFP and not Eon if that was the case?

The Dynamite adaptation of Moonraker would be my hope as well though.

Perhaps IFP have lured Horowitz back or there may be a new Bond novel announced for the 70th anniversary in '23.

To borrow from M in YOLT " Mind you, all of this is pure guesswork."

The more I hear, Horowitz is done and Sherwood is the official author for now. Could happen though. He seems like he’s happy with his work and leaving on a high note.

My money is on a second Sherwood book, can’t be that much more.

We have already been told Double or Nothing is the first in a trilogy, so that wouldn’t be much of a surprise outside of getting a title or something like that for the sequel.

Trilogy… I had tried to forget that.

Considering the fact that they’ve released Sherwood’s first book the same year as Horowitz’s last book, I feel that while she may be the official author for now, they may not be averse to releasing another book alongside hers. The fact that she’s doing more of an expanded universe take on Bond leaves the field open for someone to do a book that actually features Bond!

My ideal Bond book for the 70th anniversary would be like a short story anthology featuring a story set in every decade of Bond’s existence as a character, from the 50’s to the '20’s (or at least the '10’s).

I must be the biggest hypocrite going!

I’ve always soaked up the little information and titbits we get about the other 00 agents in the books and films, and wanted to learn more about them, and now I’m moaning about it!

Curiosly, I never cared about 00‘s for the simple reason that they would have to be as effective as 7 to get as far - which would render 7 just one of many.

I just need him to be the one nobody can top.

I think it’s time for James Bond to take more of a note from Sherlock Holmes and various comic book characters. I’d give a few characters a chance before fully writing off not trying more characters. Not just Moneypenny, she’s gotten two versions for herself: past and present, thankfully. Felix Leiter worked well, with Dynamite. It’s a shame we never got another story about himself. Other characters who would work are Blofeld, Goldfinger and maybe even May and Q. Just some suggestions for Wednesday.
