Between Horowitz, Sherwood, and now Higson, I’m glad IFP is going back to returning authors. Adds some consistency and allows for a tad more continuity.
I’m in the middle of A Spy Like Me right now, hoping to get to King Zero after I read Hurricane Room. And then The Hook and the Eye and the Q Mysteries… exciting times to be a literary Bond fan…

Have to say Higson sounds like his aim was similar to Raymond Benson’s in the 90s regarding the cinematic elements and mix those with elements of Fleming’s thrillers. Which is probably the route to go when trying to establish a contemporary modern Bond. Eager to read this now as soon as the copy arrives…

It does seem they have dropped the guest author approach for now. Probably helped they had relatively prolific writers as fans of the character who couldn’t be more excited at the opportunity.
