A new Superman film about the character being kind in a world where kindness is regarded as old-fashioned - yes, Gunn understands Superman!

Debruge really shows his bias.

Empire liked it, which is often a good sign.

After “The Village” (which I still loved) it became fashionable to pan every Shyamalan movie, based on his success (we built him up, now we tear him down), his not always endearing interview-ego, and weaknesses which every creative mind has.

But this reviewer appears to really write about the film, not so much repeating his personal view on Shyamalan.

As I wrote before on this thread: I was guilty of the same bias, but I now see where I was wrong. And even if I don’t unabashedly love every film he did, I am definitely retrieving my interest in his work - and my affinity for it.

I’m a big fan of the Unbreakable trilogy, and would take them over many comic book themed movies that have been released in the past ten years or more. They’re performance and script driven, and don’t rely on expensive set pieces. I’ll probably check out Shyamalan’s new film in the next week or so.

I read the book a couple of months ago and it was one of the best things I’ve read in a long time. The trailer looks like they’ve captured the feel of the story perfectly. Broadbent is a genuine class act, he’s great in pretty much everything and feels perfectly cast here.

Is Batman in this? I don’t think they’ve been clear enough

I love how the Flash is being overshadowed by Batman on the poster.

I’m in. This does calm my worries a bit. I was afraid for a while that Michael Keaton’s Batman would be like Luke in TLJ. Fingers crossed that Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot make appearances! After this though, enough with General Zod trying to take over Earth!

Well both The Flash and Indiana Jones trailers had me smiling and looking forward to seeing them in the theatre. Nostalgia sure is powerful I guess!
Not like I needed my arm twisted, but these are a good reason to plan a rewatch of the Burton Batman’s and and the Indy series.

Constantine 2 is at story breaking stage, I Am Legend 2 indeed follows the alternative cuts ending (the one that actually followed the book…)
