The last Jurassic World movie was awful but I’m cautiously optimistic about this one. I’m glad we’re finally getting the original cast reunited, wish it hadn’t taken 30 years!
It’s a Ridley Scott series now…
Looking forward to this!
I’ve just realised (apologies if I’m slow on the uptake) there’s actually a long association of Bonds and DC projects.
Sean Connery was Quartermain in League of Extraordinary Gentleman, published through DC’s Vertigo imprint.
George Lazenby was Jor-El in Superboy and voiced King, leader of the Royal Flush Gang, in Batman Beyond.
Timothy Dalton was the Chief in Doom Patrol.
and now Pierce Brosnan is Dr Fate in Black Adam.
Craig needs to jump onto a DC project soon. I happen to think he would have been good in the '05 Constantine film but that’s a moot point. Or maybe we count him as his initials are DC?
Blond haired northerner play a blond haired northerner…who would’ve thought that would be a better match than…
The Amazon “Lord of the Rings”-prequel, however… well, maybe the show itself is more than what the trailer promises (actual Tolkien instead of algorithm-induced target audience feeding).
It’s Jordan Peele so I’m there whatever it is.
It’s very extensive cast at this point
And the Variety article even states the reason for the return of the crew (which I actually love to see): a marketing study.
A marketing study… Other franchises simply put “James Bond will return” at the end of the credits and… Voilà.
Does anyone else feel uncomfortable about the words
made the announcement at Paramount’s investors event
WB and Disney have taken to this attitude as well - information comes from shareholder meetings and zoom calls to investors…could at least try and hide you only care about the one who gives you the most money…
It‘s product. Don’t let these creatives spoil what it really is all about.
… and those fools called viewers or audiences - they should just give us our money and not be so choosy.
That’s all any of it is. Even, on the rare chance, that a film begins its life in the creative process as something truly organic, or “for the fans”, or any of that kind of thing, the only reason it makes it to the light of day is that it is believed to be a product that someone can sell, and it will go undergo changes in order to mold it into something as generic as possible to get more people to part ways with more of their hard earned cash.
Three tracks from Michael Giacchino´s score have been released - and I must say, I love those!
