Movies: Presumably 2026, maybe Beyond

Totally agreed, but who cares anymore. Flood the streaming platforms with content - people click on what they know.

Occasionally, great shows still break out and are huge hits („The Pitt“), but the golden age of tv is over.

It’s funny that even streaming is going the way cinema went (downhill): originality is out, easy marketing is the only thing that matters.

On the other hand, that’s apparently the way audiences prefer - and I honestly can’t blame them: menu’s are so cluttered with options, the repertory so vast and crowded and confusing people resort to the stuff they already know or that’s already popular with the masses. Since it’s all governed by the might logarithm that’s then also the stuff all the other users get at the top of their pages. :man_shrugging:t3:

I love Flanagan‘s work, and surely he will have good creative reasons for this… but the Darabont version already was great, IMO.
