There was a second film in 2007 called National Treasure: Book of Secrets with the original cast plus Helen Mirren and Ed Harris.
There was also a short-lived spinoff show on Disney+.

We lost Dolly Patron who helped others out, and was truly talented. But Woody Allen is allowed to make the same movie over and over, with getting 20 year old girls falling in love with him. And he doesn’t care that he’s mentioned more than once in the Epstein Files. Life’s not fair.
Woody does not make films like that for years anymore and does not make films anymore at all. Whatever his relationship with Epstein was, there is no proof of wrongdoing. In contrast to other people.

I want to share a few different articles that can be filed under the subheading: OK, but Why?
Such a weird film to do a sequel to; did this have any lasting impact? More importantly, the rom-com era was seen as a low point in McConaughey’s career, with The Lincoln Lawyer representing a return to credibility.
Has anyone checked on Ryan Gosling recently? Because I have concerns.
I like Dan Stevens; at one point, he was my top choice for Bond.
I love Robocop; it’s the perfect blend of sci-fi, action, social satire, dark humour, and ultraviolence.
But Robocop is a franchise that hasn’t been good since the original; none of the sequels, remakes, or other TV versions have come close to capturing what made Paul Verhoeven’s classic work in the first place. And honestly, in this day and age, I’m not sure that’s possible; Robocop was something that could only have come from the 80’s.

I’ve never seen the original. I’m assuming this is just a necessary(?) step to get to the inevitable F1 crossover. Surprised Hathaway is on board. There’s a video of them announcing it that has a throwaway quality to it that’s a bit odd, but whatever. I guess in theory no one was asking for a Top Gun sequel either when Maverick was announced, so what do I know?

I think it has more to do with studios wanting to bankroll Tom Cruise legacy sequels after the success of Top Gun: Maverick.
As for this? Tom Cruise and Anne Hathaway? Count me in.

Days of Thunder was just the same story as Top Gun but with cars. It has the same story with the same story lines.

Could have been worse, could have been Nicole Kidman…and Robert Duvall stole every scene in the first one, no chance to replace him, so I´m curious what they do about that

I’ve never rated Hathaway so her inclusion here turns me off, unfortunately. It always feels like she’s acting to me. I like Tom Cruise so I’ll probably still check the movie out, though.
