Or it could feature an entirely different actor playing M in pretty much every other scene of the film. 
Easiest way around it would be to do what they did in FOR YOUR EYES ONLY as a way around Bernard Lee’s death, which would be to have someone else fill in and simply say that M is on holiday. That is, of course, assuming that both Fiennes and EON are looking to continue their partnership down the road.

As long as that briefing somehow involves a lecture on “trust.” That’s become as much a staple as the Aston Martin.
Then again, with a Bond film having principal photography lasting for about six months, they could easily set the M-scenes at the end of that duration.
That’s a good point. Movies are never shot in order.

Another rumor that either adds to or picks up the rumor of Bond having to coach a young female agent.
If that was the big idea Boyle and Hodge came up with I am very much hoping for it to work out well. Because just reading this I am extremely doubtful.
Also: seems like the studio (and EON?) seem to think that Bond alone is too old a protagonist to carry a film that can draw the young target audience. Or is her character supposed to question Bond constantly whether he still is relevant or a misogynistic dinosaur?
Jolie as the main villain - yeah, well, why not. Not terribly exciting (Jolie is not a surprising choice) and I never considered her an especially good actress.
In the end, hopefully this will turn out to be just rubbish.
If not, I bet most of us will cry about BOND 25 not being based on the P&W script.
Its Mi3’s plot with a 2005 Casino Royale rumor chucked in. Clearly someone and The Express is bored and looking on IMDB for inspiration.
This is a rumor that would make somewhat more sense in 2002. That said, I wouldn’t mind Lily James in the next one. Though, I’d rather they match Craig with an older woman. Bellucci really should have been the main woman in Spectre.

Frankly, the only news of any substance would concern the MGM situation. If nothing pops up on that from by end of May it will probably be too late for the November 2019 release. With all the various facilities needed, the entire logistics involved, the early stages of production of BOND 25 should happen right now…

Well Craig was also quoted at that time as saying he’d only do another one for the money. So, awesome, we’re getting Craig with the attitude of Connery during YOLT and DAF. As for Jolie, I don’t believe it for a second. However, I will say that just because she’s filming Maleficent 2 in 2018, it wouldn’t prevent her from filming Bond 25 as Bond 25 will be filming in 2019.
Well, that “wrist”-quote will always come back to haunt him - cheap shot by Variety, I must say.
But at least things seem to get moving.
