"Stop Getting Bond Wrong!"

Gatiss is Joking. (One of The League of Gentlemen joking, what are the odds)

The morons responding are not and are FILLED with entries for this thread.

Pour a very stiff drink before you try and read them…basically Socrates argument of why democracy is a bad idea in action.

Not in a forgiving mood today, aren’t we?

They are on the internet. Wikipedia is very easy to type.

To give you some samples.

I love Casino Royale but have never understood its continuity. It starts with Bond making his first kills for double-0 status, it has 21st century gadgets in 1960s-looking scenery. Couldn’t pin it down to a decade let alone a year, but it’s an excellent film.

I thought they’d decided that it wasn’t the same bloke, just the same code name/number?

That gif I could use for most of my development meetings with executives.

So the Khyber Pass arms bazaar scene was in Die Another Day? And all this time I thought it was in TND. Mandela effect again. Thank you, Matthew Barlow, for setting me straight.

Someone in that thread posted (and not ironically it seems) that bizarre IGN video that created a seemingly random timeline in which order to watch the films that plays even so fast and loose with the timeline that Octopussy, a straight Cold War thriller, occurs after Goldeneye which explicitly deals with the fall of the Soviet Union. Also, Blofeld changing his face to match a guy he met for about 45 seconds. But not addressing meeting Moneyoenny for the first time after having interacted with her so many times and Bond’s face changing and, you know what? I’m just going to go ahead and add that absurd video as a suggestion for stop getting Bond wrong.

I recently left a Bond Facebook page because I couldn’t handle the overload of stupid going on there. It went roughly like this…

“The new OO7 is a black woman.”
“The’ve made Bond a black woman? Woke rubbish!”
“No, Bond has left the service. The new OO7 is a black woman.”
“What? Bond’s a black woman? Disgraceful snowflakes!”
“No. OO7 is a code name. James Bond had it when he was in the service. It moved to somebody else when he left.”
“So OO7 is a black woman now?”
“Yes.”
“Oh, my God! They made Bond a black woman! The films are dead!”
“NO! She’s not James sodding Bond! She’s a different character who has taken his place in the Double-oh section!”
“You mean James Bond’s a woman now? Boycott the film!”
“You are too stupid to merit more of my time. Goodbye.”

It’s the Internet…

The internet…a place that has the same effect as a laxative.

Only with no health benefit.

Yes, I remember the “anti-woke” comments of idiots saying the first delay was the result of awful test screenings because of how the women in the film were more than just mindless sex objects. I refuse to even give them the time of day.

Before the internet, I was convinced that the scene in The Pink Panther Strikes Again where a number of assasins attempt to kill Clousea was actually a scene in a 70s Bond movie.

I was expecting Nobody Lives For Ever to culminate in a scene like that.

DAD does re-use the missile launch footage from the TND pre-title sequence.

Moon/Graves Icarus satellite was covered in diamonds, just like Blofeld’s in DAF.
Don’t let the images of the satellite’s almost-transparent, densly-packed reflector unfurling throw you - it had to be covered in diamonds, because Blofeld’s was in DAF.

And in both cases, Bond takes the identity of the smuggler and delivers the diamonds.

Another hommage in DAD, hooray.
:tada:

So it’s actually DIAMONDS ANOTHER DAY?

Diamonds aren’t for everyone.

But DAF is. (Sorry. Blame my user name.)
