The bells chiming in Matera over the Aston Martin and those at the end of OHMSS. It’s almost a spiritual sequel.
Also, Madeleine’s mother dead on the couch looks the same pose as Felix Leiter’s wife in Licence to Kill. Or Felix in the body bag. I doubt it was intentional foreshadowing, but fun to speculate.

Blofeld’s signature cat is a Persian, notoriously one of the hairiest breeds of cats.
What is the opposite of a Persian in terms of fur/aspect?
A Sphynx, like Q’s cats!

Saffin clearly had some Dr. No traits, I especially liked that it Iooked like he survived after being shot where his heart should be in the beginning.
I am also wondering if Primo is supposed to be like Emilio Largo. He seems to be high up in Spectre, has one eye, and the name Primo is like Number 1, which was his number in the Thunderball novel.

They didn’t use the numbers in Spectre did they?
Also, in the novel, those numbers change constantly which is how we get the odd pairing of Largo being Number 1 and Blofeld being Number 2.

The yellow life raft - a clear callback to TB and YOLT.
Electro-magnetic watch - different function, but inspired by LALD (I wonder how effective it would be at killing nanobots - could that be why Q stopped receiving telemetry from Bond’s second round of smart blood?).
