The most split vote so far: Bond vs Chang with 6 votes is the winner, closely followed by Bond vs Sandor with 4 votes.
And that’s exactly what I love about Bond fighting. He’s not eager to do it, he just does it when he has to. Which absolutely sets him apart from almost every other action hero.

One CBner in these threads - sorry for not remembering the handle right now - made a very valid point: a 00-agent who gets involved in close quarters hand-to-hand fighting must have seen a wheel of his op coming off. The general idea of these agents is that they get in, do their job and get out again with as little fuss and furore as possible (but then we’d have no Bond film).
It’s interesting how over the years the fights, along with the general action, increased dramatically; also in order to keep up the suspense. So much so that Lazenby’s first two fights, as good as they were, actually made no sense from the plot’s perspective.
