When I’m listening to Zimmer’s soundtrack whilst reading the Making of NTTD book, the skies will be blue and all of the worries of the world will fade away.

October 1st, for now.

NTTD podcast host James King tweeted he interviewed Hans Zimmer recently for the series, which he says launches again soon. One of my most anticipated components of the movie.

Zimmer has released two tracks from his DUNE soundtrack, by the way.

A movie which opens after NTTD. Probably.

Wow! That looks like a awesome release. Didn’t know the titlesong is included (like in the old days).

It’s the last track listed on the album.

Can you give us some short hints?

Haven’t had chance to listen yet!

edit: OK so it’s not much near the end…around 11 mins before the end. Says he will still continue working with Fukunaga (when he worked on NTTD it was just him and Cary) and that the situation was amicable in the end and that ‘everyone just had to do what they had to do’.And to a certain degree he was sensing that he wasn’t gonna stick with the project…

Thanks.

I like Rohmer‘s work, and his score for Pixar‘s LUCA showed his versatility again. Unfortunately, he has not yet the big brand name.

I hope Zimmer was inspired. He is not always, but he is a brand by himself.

For my taste, his work with Eilish was rather mediocre, and the rising four-note motif is too simplistic.

Well, let‘s wait and hear.

I‘m not on facebook - can you post which editions are available?

The mp3 version of the score will already be available on October 1st while the CD is out on October 8th, by the way.

Still have my tape deck plugged into the amp. Not sure if it’s still working, though. It’s as new, ran barely 50 hours - but over 25 years old (it’s a double deck, one of them is going to work for sure).

First time since LTK that we get the soundtrack on vinyl, CD and tape. The Brosnan movies all had CD and MC releases, but no vinyl.
