“shocking…
Positively shocking”
The Other Site is suggesting a 3rd Anthony Horowitz continuation novel will be announced tomorrow.
It will be a happy relief if Horowitz gets a third book. It looks likely.
A title, brief synopsis and release date would be grand.
I’m hoping it is in fact a third Horowitz novel. His previous two were great, and he is arguably my favorite continuation author (I also have a soft spot for Benson). After all those one-offs (Faulks, Deaver, Boyd) it’s time for some more consistency in the author department. I’d be happy if Horowitz writes a few more.
Looking forward to this announcement!!
Just reread Trigger Mortis and I’d be more than happy with another one from Horowitz. Also would be very happy with another one from Deaver (Carte Blanche is my favorite of the continuations by a mile) but I don’t see that happening. All the same, I’m excited for the announcement!
Fingers crossed…it would make this the first time in history that Bond in all its forms is on solid ground.
A tweet, later deleted, implied Horowitz had something today…
Third in Magpie Murders, Moonflower Murders series???
No!
Line of Duty tie in?
Took me a moment to get that. No!
On a third Bond…

Great news another Bond adventure.
A pleasant surprise for the fans of Horowitz’ Bond continuations.

Straight on from The Man With The Golden Gun…exciting!
Outstanding news.
At the end of Fleming’s timeline, as we were guessing. I liked the idea of a story taking place before OHMSS, but my confidence in Horowitz is that high I’m expecting the chosen time period to be great, anyway. I wonder who the old enemy will be? Bunt survived the events of You Only Live Twice?
At a guess I’d say ‘Colonel Boris’, the guy who sent Bond after M. It was always odd that, after failing to kill M and breaking down in his office, M decided to point Bond to an obscure and in the end unimportant hired gun in the Caribbean theatre. The real test would have been to play Bond right back at the KGB’s brainwashing department.
Bond book marathon with Horowitz books included is now on my to do list
It’ll be interesting to see how he handles post-TMWTGG Bond. I’m looking forward to this. And there you go, see that? Two new Bond adventures for us to enjoy over the next two years. Things are looking up.
Horowitz is answering questions about it on Twitter. Mostly just thanks, and things it definitely isn’t.
No Time To Die this year, and the new book next year. I think Project 007 will probably be ready in 2023. And when the Amazon deal is signed off, movement can begin with another movie.
The Authorised Biography of 007, while not something I consider to be canon, had Bunt surviving the events of You Only Live Twice. I’m open to that idea, because the importance levels rise considerably.
That said, I’ll have to read The Man With The Golden Gun to refresh my mind and see other plot possibilities, and that should probably also include Colonel Sun. Perhaps fragments of the Spangled Mob could make a comeback?
Not to mention the Dynamite comics and Jarvis & Ayres radio adaptations. At this present second, everything Bond is running…I’m suspicious…it’s going too well for Bond…
