Good choices. I personally don’t consider The Authorised Biography canon, but it’s a great book. I re-read it not that long ago, along with Carte Blanche.
I’d recommend reading what he’s just ordered, Horowitz’s two books and then the first five or so Gardner novels. Get some good quality Bond reading under your belt before tackling something that is decent but perhaps not quite the same standard.
