This is my question as well. I see a lot of artists selling their Bond fan art as posters and prints on Etsy and other sites and wonder how that’s not a violation of MGM/EON’s copyright. Fan art occupies a gray area. We’re infringing on other’s copyrighted works but as long as we’re not making money off of it the studios generally look the other way.

I’ve had people ask me if my fan art is for sell and while I would love to do so I always tell them no because of the potential legal implications.

Not criticizing anybody for doing it, I just worried about them getting into legal trouble and by extent the entire Bond fan art community coming under fire.
