Bond 25 Fan Art

Seconded.

Hi Guys, thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately I haven’t asked permission as I believed this was 100% my work. I’ve decided to sell my work as people have requested to buy them. I’ve made the mistake in the past of sharing my work free online to have them stolen and for others to profit off them. A few years back I designed and shared a fan poster for the French film ‘Le Samourai’ to have it stolen and sold on eBay. IMDb even use it as the offical poster for the films page and I never got commission or recognition for it. Some of the most famous movie poster designers started off creating fan posters and were recognised and hired by production companies for it, which is why I thought I was doing no harm. I’ve decided to remove my post and do a little more research to find out what I can and can’t do. If for any reason, I was asked to take down my work for copyright reasons, I’ll do so. Thanks for your concern.

True. But that does not make it more legal.

Since you include the title and the cast notice etc. you make it seem as if it was an official poster.

I just finished designing another Bond/Craig fan poster, this time for the film Spectre. I hope you guys like it! I’m officially creating a series of posters for the Daniel Craig films. Stay tuned.

Fantastic work!

What font do you use for the credits?

Thanks!

I use a font called ‘Universal Accreditation’.

I think the only real spec that could run you into some muddy water would be the casting and staff listings being presented on the works.

As fan works, not for sale, those listings being featured makes total sense.

As separate works of art for sale (in which the actual persons are not directly associated in any way), listings may be seen as infringements. EON tends to target anything that could be confused as “official”.

Plenty of fan arts are bought and sold in very legal capacities across the web, it’s just about steering well clear of the brass with your pieces.

Think more reimagine, less redesign.

They are faintly reminiscent of the Mondo prints for Star Wars…

Is this perhaps the inspiration?

Hi, thanks for your comment! That’s correct, my posters are inspired by the works of Olly Moss. Primarily his Star Wars series which I believe, Mondo Tees sell on their website.

I’ve officially finished my series of James Bond/Daniel Craig fan art posters. My posters are a tribute to the Daniel Craig era of James Bond films and inspired by the works of Olly Moss. I hope you like them! https://www.instagram.com/licencetocreate

It was a missed opportunity not to integrate the Skyfall lodge aesthetics into the official posters, namely the stag entrance gate. If they had to use that one still of Bond, the 4K cover would’ve been an improvement, rather than the generic gunbarrel background they went with.

A bit of a test but…imagine you’re watching Tenet last year and this comes on
