Tomorrow Never Dies edging Goldeneye out 4-3, and some of those calls could go either way, such as the soundtracks and villain schemes which I like equally and for different reasons. Theyāre his best two films, and very good Bond movies in their own right.
Wai Lin was a kickass āBond equalā done right. Xenia is an instant classic. The Garbage song has a melancholia that appeals to me, and given the family motto, it feels like an appropriate anthem for Brosnanās Bond in the way Nobody Does It Better is for Moore.
I think Brosnanās best Bond performance is from Die Another Day. Some of my favourite Brosnan moments come from that film - entering the Hong Kong casino soaking wet, knocking out the man for the wheelchair, and the sword fight. I think he felt the most comfortable here.
Iām shocked I actually voted for Die Another Day for something. Also, Iām sad I couldnāt choose Danteās Peak or Mamma Mia for best Brosnan performance.
I really like how it incorporates Bondās torture and actually makes some of the sequence part of the actual story. Itās kind of the same reason that I love Skyfallās PTS so much. That one really seems like Bondās fever dream.
I ranked Garbageās song the best of Brosnanās.
As for my favourite Brosnan vehicle, I choose the BMW 750iL.
I like the Vanquish, but BMW is so exclusively Brosnan era (like how Moore drove a Lotus) that it feels appropriate going with it. The car park sequence in question is also really good.
