I don’t know if there was a thread already for trailers, tv spots, commercials, etc., but I thought it might be a good idea to have one.
To kick things off this 35mm open matte film scan of the Octopussy teaser trailer was just uploaded to YouTube. Quite interesting to see the animation uses the whole 35mm frame even though it would have been matted out in the cinema itself.
Here’s a 16mm print of the trailer to From Russia with Love. It’s a very poor print but gives it a grindhouse vibe.
This is a good opportunity to post this trailer for the VHS collection from the '90s.
This has to be one of my favourite trailers of all time, I must have watched it hundreds of times.
OHMSS Trailer with USA voice over and MPAA ratings. I’ve seen the UK version on the DVDs but not this version with a different voice over for the USA market.
