A while ago (pre-NTTD as I recall) Oscar Issac was suggested as a potential Bond 7 on a thread, with the caveat if he can do a an English accent.

Always nice to get the announcement. I haven’t seen much of Gatwa’s work but I have every faith in the team casting the part. Looking forward to seeing him make his entrance later this year. .

There’s not much to see going by his Wikipedia page. Sex Education, for which he won 2 awards (Sex Education star Ncuti Gatwa wins second TV award in two days - BBC News) seems to be his biggest role by some margin.

I watched a few episodes of Sex Education and I remember him being good in that. In general I prefer the Doctor not to be an overly familiar actor so that can be the role that defines him.
9 and 10 were coming off other, well regarded, RTD dramas (The Second Coming and Casanova, respectively) so it’s clearly not something RTD worries about.
Thinking about it, 11 is the only one from the revival not to have been known and applauded in another role (or roles for Eccleston and Capaldi)

Seeing people in many places acting like it’s a surprise it’s been two years since the previous season…for a series that has always had two year gaps…is it only my internet that has Google?
Pop culture awareness has an extremely short attention span.
Who googles and researches? That’s so last year.

I don’t like to be negative sounding but it is time CBS said enough to Chuck Lorre sitcoms. They’re almost always the same: someone’s a drunk, someone’s got mother issues, there’s a too cynical tone to each of his shows. And CBS just kept saying give us more. Netflix and some of the other networks had the balls to this sucks and cancel his shows. I still call CBS Chuck’s Bullsht or Cop Bullsht cause that’s all they offer in prime time, apart from the news. My dad has been almost tortured me without realizing it with Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory. Those high TV ratings are why my country isn’t the smartest, and why certain politicians are re-elected without end.

It’s the anniversary of a time travel series so it makes sense to revisit the past, I just hope that RTD doesn’t just revisit his own past. Hopefully we’ll get news about Matt Smith and soon, perhaps some classic series Doctors depending on how they’re handling the multi-Doctor angle this time.

True, these are leaks rather than announcements. I suppose I’m just concerned as more and more franchises are stagnating by becoming stuck in their own past.

Ozark Season 4
Loved it. Great ending. The whole show is an exercise in plot twists. But Jason Bateman, Laura Linney and Julia Garner like the rest of the wonderful cast make it relatable. Also a show that stopped before it overstayd its welcome.
Succession Season 3
I adored the first two seasons. This third one ups the game again and ends on a really brutal twist. Funny, biting, tragic, real. One of the best tv shows ever.

The Book of Boba Fett
I was entertained, but in a slightly bored way.
I liked THE MANDALORIAN, even loved some episodes in season 2.
I had heard that BOBA FETT would start out slow and only really get good when the second half would become like THE MANDALORIAN season 2.5.
But I actually preferred the first half and was disappointed when the focus left Boba Fett.
To give some context: I never understood the interest in this bounty hunter. As a kid I hated the character. He was responsible for Han Solo getting frozen, dammit!
So I never needed to see whether he survived or not. But this show actually made me care about him. They gave him an interesting arc which it began to explore… and then THE MANDALORIAN took that away. As if they decided during production: nope, that old bald guy will not be exciting enough. Get Baby Yoda back in there! And the young helmet guy! And much more action! And CGI young Skywalker! QUICK!
I hope KENOBI will be more courageous and better.

Interesting. Got it from my brother a few weeks ago, but have yet to watch it. I’m a bit reluctant because my brother wasn’t too fond of it. Might give it a try some time next week…
