Got an email from PostNL that I will receive my parcel from the 007 store on Friday, but I changed it in my free Saturday so I can be at home waiting for it the whole day.
Apparently, mine departed from L.A. just a few minutes ago.
And while it was transported to and fro in the L.A. area for a whole week, it made across the pond within two days and has already left Frankfurt airport and is on its way to me. If all goes well, it should be here on Monday ![]()
All based on the concept that the shortest way between two points on this planet is a cube…![]()
Got mine this late afternoon. It is fantastic! It looks flawless, not a scratch! Well,… one needs a break sometimes I suppose! I am very happy with my purchase!

Took a bit longer, but it’s finally here. Outer sleeve is pristine, but both inner sleeves again have split seams (but only on one side). But I can live with that, as long as the outer one is OK. And I believe they put more effort in a safe packaging, which I appreciate very much. As my record dealer says, it happens, and it’s almost impossible to completely avoid it.
And what’s also great: my self-imposed hiatus on buying records is over. I wanted this one to be the worthy 200th piece of my Bond music collection, so I decided to stop buying until this one arrived

A move that saved me some money, btw. But it doesn’t save me that much money – the other stuff I want is what I’m going to buy anyway, and it doesn’t matter that much wether I spend it now or in three months.
But it depends on what you’re buying. If it’s any old crap, you just have to wait until a good opportunity comes along – That’s for most of it. Certain items never go for cheap. The waiting and the hunt is part of the fun.
I strongly recommend buying all those new releases as soon as they’re out. ![]()
As I took a break from buying in the past two months, I didn’t notice a development: the prices for the LLL Goldfinger vinyls are skyrocketing (according to Discogs). Officially sold out, you won’t find a ‘second hand’ copy of either version for sale for less than 120 Euros (to put it into perspective, you won’t get certain SPECTRE or Skyfall vinyls for under 150…). And that goes for the CDs, as well.
The fact that I missed out on the DAD release on time will cost me an arm and a leg one day. What makes it worse is that I only want it for completist reasons. But I’ve sworn that I’m not going to pay a three-digit sum for it, which probably means a several years wait until the market has cooled down ![]()
Got my Lala Land version Friday, it is also in excellent condition atlhought you can see the edges of the LP’s a bit that has stretched into the outersleeves, probably packed to tightly. But what can one do? Luckly the other one from the 007 store was perfect, so I can live with it.
Mark Ward at The Tracking Angle has reviewed the new “Moonraker” album. The article also has some comments from me.
The Moonraker LP is now completely sold out, also the Lala version.
So that means 700 + 300 = 1000 are sold.
I hope everyone here, who wanted one, has got it by now?!
