The main guy at Collider (Steven Weintraub) is saying this was a hoax.
Absolutely possible with the Mail.
No, he just said that the articleās main point that filming had resumed was, in fact, inaccurate. Since Iām not an attorney and donāt word things specific, I apologize if my definition of hoax is inaccurate.
Enormous number of pics there, would be a huge effort for a hoax. They are doing dry runs and rehearsals; technically thatās not shooting itself. But they seem to be ready for when cameras are rolling again.
With Ferguson in the car it would be weird to have her and not a stunt double doing that prep. Especially now.
They obviously thought they could still film as much as possible. And Cruise seems to be immune to everything, so maybe that radiates to everyone in his proximity.
That was a joke, of course.
But a good oneā¦!
In all fairness, heās doing a better job than many others.
Heās a nut job!

āOh, six feet?* I thought you said 6 kilometers.ā
And, although it doesnāt have its own thread here, so too has Top Gun been pushed back from its July date to December 2020.
I must admit, aside from the possibility of always having a reserved date to ward off other Big Films, Iām not sure I see the point in setting a date per se, right now. Itās still a guess as to when filming can recommence and so too therefore, one might assume is the release date.
This is a very reasonable concern. Even if all the theatres opened up simultaneously, say, 14. July (just as a random date) - which wonāt happen but just as a working hypothesis - it will take months before audience numbers are anywhere close to what they used to be. And years before people have the kind of funds available they had before the crisis. And it will also take years before as many people have work in roughly the same pay grade.
Overall you would be well advised to keep a close eye on the market before you risk releasing a hit that might run aground in the depression.
Sadly, I think this assessment is on the money. We could be entering a protracted barren spell for the action adventure genre.
I just watched Rogue Nation and Fallout again and it depresses me how good they are because Rogue Nation is basically Spectre with names changed out. Also, I will forever wish that Spectreās finale could be as good as Falloutās.
The recent Mission Impossible are actually quite good and a lot of fun and shows that personal issues can be done with a far lighter touch, and the actionscenes in the recent movies are just bloody spectacular and exciting to watch, no tired car chases or a trainfight with no real people around it seems to happen in a void. Which is certainly not the case with the Cruise MI movies.
Not sure about anyone else, but I have been avidly following the exploits of one Mr Cruise and progress through M:I-7.
This is the latest now that theyāve shifted from Oxfordshire to Norway. They suffered a set fire in Oxfordshire as part of the motorbike ramp jump. Cruise is alledged to have rented a couple of liners to house the team. All very productive.
Tom Cruise is a crazy man. And I love it.
But with a lot less stunt doubles⦠
Joking aside, weāve seen in recent years that age no longer disqualifies you to play an action hero. Harrison Ford has continued playing Indiana Jones into his 60s and 70s. Liam Neeson developed into an action star in his mid-50s. Craig looks stronger and fitter than ever at 51. DC has a more natural action hero physique than either Moore or Brosnan and, unlike those 2, I could see him convincingly continuing as Bond for a few more years. Of course, heās already said heās done.
Roger Moore was 57 when making AVTAK. And indeed when it was released.
