Or: The later ones.
Because in these days it would not be surprising for the filmmakers to justify that they actually made it over that canyon.
And now their daughters are on the run, too.

He could make two out of that, one for each. Or two trilogies, and then a prequel trilogy with both of them. There’s only been one movie so far, there’s lots of potential in this…
And don’t forget Brad Pitt was also in the movie, his character could have a story and ofcourse movie of his own!!
Maybe his earlier years with a younger actor in the leading role, who does better with the current younger generation of moviegoers, what’s his name again… er… that Zac Efron dude! Yes! Bingo! Blockbuster material! etc, etc…
Glen Powell in a „reimagining“ with Zendaya and Sydney Sweeny. Done.

For all of the flaws of both EON and IFP creatively at times, at least they can announce a project and not drop it. We are generally lucky in that regard. Even Rogue Squadron had a release date.
From @DanielRPK on Twitter. Once again, I can’t comment on his track record. The following is from Reddit.
But I think we all suspected this was the case immediately after Love and Thunder hit cinemas. His light work on Mando wasn’t especially encouraging either (he made it canon in live-action that Stormtroopers have unbelievably pathetic accuracy to the extent they can’t shoot a tin on the ground just a few metres in front of them). Also, it’s worse than you think. Apparently when he was working with Natalie Portman on Love and Thunder, he told her that his next major project was going to be a Star Wars film and asked her if she ever wanted to be in a Star Wars movie. He either had no idea or had forgotten that she was Padmè in the prequels. These are the people who Disney is letting make their films, or at least they were until now.
Lucasfilm tends to axe projects once a director finds him or herself in the spotlight after a notable disappointment.
Colin Trevorrow (episode 9) got dumped after The Book of Henry. Patty Jenkins (Rogue Squadron) got dumped after the disastrous WW84. Taika was on life-support after the Thor 4 blunder. Rian Johnston’s alleged promised trilogy is more than likely never going to happen after TLJ.
And I completely forgot the GoT idiots had their promised Star Wars project canned after the fallout of that show’s downfall as well. They even rushed out the ending in order to free themselves up for the Star Wars gig. Whoopsie.
So no surprise with the Taika project news if this leak/rumour is true. Given his sense of humour, I think he’d be a better fit for a Star Wars Robot Chicken sketch or something.
It’s scary to think Kathleen Kennedy’s contract could be renewed. At least EON and IFP are honest about getting their fanbases excited about projects with their focus.
Say what?
Punchy, stabby, kicky, explody, repeaty.
I’m sorry for not being more clear. What I mean is that while EON and IFP don’t always meet fans’ expectations, they don’t (usually) announce project after project without a clear plan in place. Lucasfilm has been doing that ever since Disney brought them. Too much cold feet going on there, it seems. At least they knew to take a break, unlike the MCU. So once again, us Bond fans are lucky in that sense.
People are surprised but…have you seen his films for the last 30 years? AI might have a more original idea.
I’m not sure where I stand on this. In principle, I’m against AI involvement in creative endeavours. However, there is something amazingly surreal and dreamlike in what I’ve seen of AI imagry and film that can be compelling.
As with anything really, in the right hands, I’m sure it could be utilised well. In the wrong hands, however…
… when a story has been told but was too successful, so one needs to repeat every beat ad nauseam.
James Cameron has always been a horrible story writer. You’ve seen all his stories before. He has little range. As for AI, it all depends on how it’s used and how it’s response is.
Splendid!
A lot of Batman news and rumors this week!

I wish more Batman alumni would have been there. Just not George Clooney or Bob Kane’s wife! At least Paul Dini was there. One of Batman’s greatest writers.
I really hope that DC and WB let Ben Affleck write a graphic novel version of his script. It seems that Batgirl movies just can’t get off the ground, in more ways than one.

It’s nice to see Batman villains other than the well known regulars get some screen time. Also, (not to be too negative), I hope people know that Bob Kane stole credit not just from Bill Finger, but from a lot of other people, Jerry Robinson and Dick Sprang were big on building Batman’s supporting cast. Bob Kane would have killed the Joker off after his first appearance. The biggest thing Bob Kane did for Batman was to combine the words “Bat” and “Man.” Bill Finger died in poverty, when he shouldn’t have. Bob Kane could have given Bill Finger credit in his lifetime, but didn’t. The last Batman thing Bob Kane saw before he died was Batman & Robin. That still wasn’t enough karma for Bob, in my mind. So, true Batman fans aren’t too fond of Bob Kane.
Also, Happy Belated Batman Day! It’s celebrated on September 21st. Something I’ve noticed recently is how much of Batman’s other characters (both allies and villains) from his world have gotten their own fair share of media in the last 20 years. I don’t think this would have happened if Batman Begins hadn’t been a success. I’m thankful for how much the world of Batman has been opened, in all forms of media. I’m thankful to get to share my love of the Batman mythology with you all as much as the James Bond (and various other fictional mythologies) mythology. Thank you, and I hope you had a happy Batman Day!
This seems like a good place to include a link to this fun bit from artist Ty Templeton:

Bill Finger not getting credit for Batman’s creation is the equivalent of EON not giving Richard Maibaum or Neal Purvis and Robert Wade credit on all their screenplays. They’ve done a lot akin to Bill Finger and many others, for cinematic Bond. Thankfully, EON has more standards with others than Bob Kane did.
