I’m only really excited about Zootopia 2 and Incredibles 3. Rare sequels that I actually want!
Hathaway brings it up here.
Basically, yes she was cast but didn’t get to see anything before it was cancelled, and she is happy with that hindsight as she thinks she wouldn’t have even been considered for Catwoman if that film had been made.
Thank you for that source. With the MCU overdoing the Multiverse now, Anne Hathaway can still arguably have a chance to play her. Same with Felicity Jones.
I completely agree
Brave new world now will inherit a whole new layer of relevance.
And I must say, it’s the first Marvel trailer in ages which made me think: I am intrigued.
One thought I had after watching the Brave New World trailer - it feels as if they recognize that the kids who grew up watching Marvel movies are now adults looking for more mature fare
That could prove interesting.
Wicked.
As much as I like Rey, I just don’t get Lucasfilm anymore. As I’ve said before, at least EON waits for the right time to announce things. Kathleen Kennedy lacks direction with these films. She’s no Cubby Broccoli, that’s for sure!
I don’t think it’s so much Kathleen Kennedy as Disney doing what Paramount have been doing with Star Trek movies and WB do with DC with announcements existing purely for investors interest without any real intent of making them.
EON, thank god, had got themselves in a place where studios can’t announce Bond movies just for investment opportunities.
I want to defend IFP as much as EON, on much of this type of marketing. They’ll always be rumors, sure, but both will announce things when they’re ready to. It’s a shame that Daisy Ridley won’t probably be able to do a Bond movie, now, though. She’d be a good Moneypenny.
Now that’s an inspired choice and the best reason to watch the ceremony:
More explosions, I bet.
Strikes me as them reaching for someone who isn’t really relevant anymore but has a name that they think might draw some people in. It also feels as though they’ve been turned down by a lot of people to reach for O’Brien.
A decade ago, maybe. Now, it feels desperate from both sides.
O‘Brien is still relevant and popular with Hollywood stars. They need someone to host who is witty and able to come up with spontaneous great punchlines.
He is fantastic.
