Movies: Presumably 2026, maybe Beyond

I couldn’t be happier that Brainiac is a villain(s). It’s about time for Brainiac to get some cinematic action. He feels right for James Gunn to adapt. Could he make a last minute cameo in Supergirl next year? I hope so. I just hope that Brainiac is a legit alien threat, not something Lex made. That has been done too much in Superman movies for too long. I also hope he’s not coming to Earth to make a new Krypton. Zod has been doing that for awhile now too! I’d take Toyman as the main villain at this point! He still would make a good side villain in the future, though. In particular with James Gunn in charge. Other Superman villains who should make cinematic villains soon are: Silver Banshee, Parasite, and Mongul, as they are some of the better Superman side villains. One can hope we’ll see them soon!

People have been comparing Lars Eidinger to Christoph Waltz. Being not well known to American audiences but taking a big villain role. I think that will possibly help him disappear into the role. I just also hope that Man of Tomorrow isn’t overstuffed like some people called out for Superman (2025). But there are Superman fans who have waited longer than me for Brainiac to make his big screen debut. If he had debuted 10-20 years ago, I would have gone with Ralph Fiennes or Daniel Craig. For their voices and their body builds. To think, we could see the Man of Tomorrow trailer within a year from now!

Could not agree more. Brilliant as he was, James Marsters in Smallville being the only live action Brainiac is unforgivable.

Very curious to see how this one turns out. The Cage casting is really interesting.

I am old now since so many films here do not interest or severely irk me.

But maybe something‘s there for you?

Not that I’m actually interested in this (never been my cup of tea), just posting it because some people around here might be

And I must say that after this trailer, I’m even less interested.

I couldn’t care less, but this comes from the company that is going to produce the thing we’re all waiting for around here…

It looks like any Marvel film, with a little James Gunn, but basically it is Thor.

Maybe it just is only for kids who haven’t seen anything like it or better.

However, it just is one thing: McCinema.

Everything looks the same. You get what you got last time. And your tastebuds will atrophy until you only accept this.

Do not expect Amazon to make any big budget film look different from what market reaearch tells them.

It’s also nostalgia bait for anyone who grew up watching the cartoons back in the ‘80s.

And there was some toy, kind of a Big Jim on steroids and ketamine, no?

So good that the fourth film was announced and scheduled to open, when was it, last year?

Seriously, though, Pine and the rest of the casting for the Abrams-produced Star Trek movies were excellent, and it is a shame that Paramount could do nothing with them.

The Oscar nominee in question here is Diane Lane.

Really intrigued to see what Flanagan has in store for this.

That coat looks similar.

But Lambert had that weird quality. Cavill, for my taste, is too much vanilla hunk.
