I’m up for that!

I think this is a very fair observation. We haven’t had the pleasure of a Pizzolato-less Fukunaga run TD series. Who knows, that may not have measured up to S1 either.

Sometimes it’s the working relationships which generate the good stuff - even the bad working relationships can do that.

And that’s not to mention McConaughey‘s input, which I imagine was fairly pivotal.

All true. I really wanted to love or at least like Season 2 of TRUE DETECTIVE - but the main problem was… it wasn’t season 1, with its clever time structure. And the story was too much been there, done that.

I did love, however, Rick Springfield´s turn as a beauty doctor.

What I’ll say is that Tom Cruise at 55 still looked spry enough to do all of the necessary stunts and look the part so Craig would definitely still be able to do it at 54. Having said that, I don’t think there is anything that would bring Craig back for a sixth. He’s made it well known how he feels about the role and the arduous shooting schedule it has. On top of that, he just had a kid. I think he’ll be ready to hang it up after Bond 25 and then they can start fresh with a younger actor (Henry Cavill) for Bond 26.

Cruise doesn’t smoke or drink though, and he is a bit of a nutter- whereas Craig does, and isn’t.

DC’s knee is also mash-up due to the injury he got from doing the train fight in Spectre. He aint spry anymore!

I’m almost 100% sure this is his last Bond film. Definitely time to pave the way for someone like Cavill. And like you said, he has a kid now so different priorities.

Well The Alienist season 2 is an adaptation of Caleb Carr’s sequel book “Angel of Darkness”; I’m sure that was always the plan if the first was successful.

I really hope 25 is Craigs last pic,
From my perspective, while I have enjoyed the films,
Craig has become a difficult and slightly destructive cog in the Bond machine,
He’s directly responsible for some of the delays and (from my understanding) was responsible for the parting of ways with Boyle;
I’d like to see someone brought in with Roger’s attitude,
grateful for the job, committed to the role and made it his priority and never, ever bad mouthed it or looked the gift horse in the mouth.

As for making the 60th Anniversary; That’s over 4 years away,
They know this is Craigs last pic so don’t have to wait until the end of production to begin negotiations with another actor (especially if it’s someone like Cavill who they already have a relationship with) , They also have met with many directors so may already have someone in mind for the next one (or may reach out to Campbell again);
either way, the timeline would not be an issue if they wanted to go down that route.

Based on what? None of that is remotely true - all the delays have been down to MGM’s financial issues and we have no clue what caused Boyle to quit. Do not push forum gossip as it’s little better than slander.

I don’t deal in gossip and there is nothing even vaguely slanderous about what I wrote above.

Dictionary definition of libel:

false statement that is damaging to a person’s reputation; a written defamation

Describing someone as “difficult” in regards to their job when you don’t know them or their employers is both slander and gossip, as you spread an idea that, given enough momentum, makes it difficult for him to be employed, but go ahead, you blame Craig for things that are completely out of his control and spread an idea that exists only in tabloid journalism as fact.

Actually calling somebody “difficult” does not constitute defamation unless its provable otherwise.
If you really want to bring in legal terms you really need to understand what they mean first.

If you have a problem with anything I’ve written feel free to report it to the mods and they can decide if it needs removing.

Only if i was suing you for it, in a conversation it’s slanderous to spread false information or rumour and your responsibility to prove your claim otherwise it is just gossip mongering.

Also; the delays having nothing to do with Daniel Craig, and being entirely down to MGM having serious financial problems, is easily provable

Then you’ll allow me to make the claim that you are slandering me by suggesting I am spreading false information.

Now now gents, play nicely. We’re supposed to be excited for this long awaited news.

MGM financial woes and the many problems it’s caused;

The only other delay (2014 - 2015) entirely Sam Mendes

So not Craig…thus you saying “difficult and destructive cog…directly responsible for delays” is, provably, wrong.

Gentlemen, to me it would be vastly preferable if we didn’t have to concern ourselves with arcana largely rooted in the realm of jurisprudence. This being the Internet CBn has made it good practice to avoid, wherever possible, to add to the amount of frequently peddled digesta based on everybody-and-their-cat/dog-says-so folklore. I hope that helps to solve the matter…

So you say :wink:

"everybody-and-their-cat/dog-says-so "

Is CraigBond a dog or cat person?

I always saw him as a bat person. He’s probably got one or two dozen, keeps them in his fridge…
