NO TIME TO DIE Spoilers (production pictures & videos)

So will they have Bond and Madeline out on the balcony with these Christmas lights, bonfires, and possibly fireworks in the background for an updated “Christmas only comes once a year” type scene?? Referring of course to the TWINE scene, not the line in the film.

From what I’ve pulled together from all over it seems Swann is alone on the balcony, wearing very little clothing (pretty cool you guuuuys). My guess is Bond is out like a light in bed and she has a private moment alone outside. Structure wise I’m still confused about what this is going to look like. I’m struggling to see any way around some sort of flashback/time jump. The press release says Bond is in Jamaica from the start, so unless we get a flashback sequence I really have no idea what’s happening. Which is a good thing, for what it’s worth.

My two cents on it all (from the little we know) Potential SPOILERS ahead:

Summary
  • Gunbarrel

  • Opens up in a remote icy location in Austria. It’s Mr. White’s house. A young Madeleine wakes up to some commotion in the living room. Fetches the gun from under the sink, shoots her father’s assailant in the face. He does not die, and follows her outside into the ice. She falls through. He shoots the ice and thinks she’s dead.

  • Cue Kleinman’s titles, which aptly provide us some context on Swan’s surviving that traumatic scene.

  • Swann wakes up in the DB5. Bond’s driving. They go through a tunnel into the gorgeous Matera. They arrive at the Hotel. Romantic scenes in Matera follow.

  • Bond goes to the old cemetery alone. For some reason the mausoleum blows up and he is attacked by assassin’s in an old Maserati and Triumph Scrambler.

  • He runs to the bridge and jumps over into some trees. He flees.

  • Running back to the town, he takes the Triumph from the assassin, using his tie to make him fall off his motorbike and goes to Swann.

  • He takes her by the hand and they run to the DB5.

  • Chase ensues. A mix of classic Bond stuff, like she sheep and the big airplane machine guns from the headlights.

  • By the end of it, something happens which makes Bond think Swann is dead. Much like the assassin though in the original ice scene. Again Madeleine Swann is taken for dead.

  • Years later, Bond is at Jamaica, fishing and sailing. His retirement is interrupted by his old pal Leiter, who informs him about a kidnapping of a scientist that’s been held in Cuba. Leiter convinces Bond to help him with some very valid personal arguments. Meanwhile, at a party, he is contacted/seduced by an Mi6 agent who’s keeping tabs on him and later she informs him about some CIA’s double plot.

  • Bond goes to Cuba. There he rescues the scientist in an awesome chase in Cuban streets and roofs (and falling into a bar).

  • After all of that, Bond has to be briefed in London. So he goes back as a visitor. There he is made aware of his replacement. A person who he already knew from Jamaica (maybe she even helps him in Cuba).

Largely where I’m at, Univex!

Sounds far different than your average Bond flick

Thanks for that Univex, I’m sure you’re on the right track there!

James Bond in Gravina in Puglia. From 19 to 23 September the troupe of No time to die will move to the Murgian city, the twenty-fifth episode of the famous film series featuring the British secret service agent born in 1953 by the writer Ian Fleming. Already last August the city of wheat and wine, with its fascinating rocky habitat, had been the backdrop for several days, for several days. Now the second part of the work, with the expectation and curiosity in the meantime grown out of all proportion for the fame that has always accompanied the cinematographic exploits of Sir James Bond and, of course, for the series of actors that make up the cast: in the new film to embody the agent of MI6 will be - for the fifth time - the actor Daniel Craig. At his side, among others, the Oscar winner Rami Malek, Naomie Harris, Lèa Seydoux and Ben Whishaw. Director Cary Fukunaga instead, already behind the camera in Jane Eyre and in the well-known TV series True detective.

To ensure the safety of the areas affected by the filming, meanwhile, at the request of the production company Lotus srl, the commander of the Local Police, Major Nicola Cicolecchia, ordered by order the prohibition of transit and parking of all vehicles in via Fontana la Stella and in the area of the Acquedotto bridge, from 19 to 23 September, from 4 to 20. From 20 to 23 September, from 5 to 20, a similar ban will affect the panoramic road “Santo Stefano”. Furthermore, again from 19 to 23 September (from 5 to 20) the aqueduct bridge will also be closed to pedestrian traffic. Finally, again in compliance with security reasons, the Robinson park will also be closed to the public on Friday 20 September and Sunday 22 September, from 6 to 19.

Could well be along those lines. But if it were I’d guess that’d all be PTS with Jamaica after the titles.

Like it. I’m thinking very similar.

Few more pics (as usual, don’t bother reading the text)

Could be a long PTS then.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t these films typically have three major action sequences? The only one we know anything about is the chase in Matera.

What about the Pinewood explosions?

Are you speculating, and I hadn’t thought of this, that the Pinewood explosion that went wrong was part of a major huge fight scene ala YOLT volcano or TSWLM Liparus scene? Something like that has been missing for some time, IMO.

Because Lewis Gilbert hasn’t directed Bond since 79?

It could be part of the Cuba sequence. A bunch of that was filmed at Pinewood.

I understand what you’re saying, I for one would like to see something like that. Perhaps not as epic and outlandish as those two films, but one where maybe the CIA joins MI6 in attacking Malek’s laboratory. I’m still struggling with coming up with a third action piece, unless the Cuba scenes have something we’re unaware of.

We input at the same time.

The Norway cabin was recreated at Swinley Forest over the summer, so may be some action there, or from the Scotland filming.

Also, there may have been some more filming in Jamaica which we don’t know about, linking in to the boat explosion we saw some footage of.

Nice :upside_down_face:
