NO TIME TO DIE Spoilers (production pictures & videos)

Interesting.

So… Blofeld, while in prison, still leads Spectre and has the Malek character conduct another big operation which Bond has to stop, ending in a final confrontation in the hideaway to which Blofeld will escape, with Madeleine playing a distinct role (maybe even abducted by Blofeld to lure Bond in).

At least that’s how the basic plot points could be laid out.

Indeed! And no surprise if Malek is Largo, taking orders from Blofeld’s prison kingpin via Dr Vogel (I wonder if her medical field is genetics?).

But surely even P&W wouldn’t stoop so low as to re-use the Maddy kidnap trope to motivate Bond after having just done that (so lamely) in SP.

Given there’s been four writers and two directors since P&W…why are they getting blamed for something that may happen in a film not yet made?

If you refer to Mr. Hinx trying to kidnap Madeleine but failing to do so very quickly it would be very okay for my taste to have Blofeld really kidnapping Madeleine this time and using her (maybe brainwashed?) to kill Bond in his garden.

What if Madeleine bites the dust in the PTS and she later ‘reappears’ via a clone based on her DNA? I’m swinging wildly with speculation here.

I’m referring to Blofeld kidnapping Maddy (in the awfully written finale) and tying her to a chair in a room on top the former MI6 hq on Vauxhall bridge in a desperate attempt to pull a clock-ticking action scenario out of his hat.

Sure, she wasn’t used to lure Bond to the building, but it’s close enough for me to think ‘come on guys, not that again already!’

Don’t worry, swinging wildly appeared to be the MO of the writing approach to SP’s finale, so you’re in good company

Cinematically the moment a dead person suddenly reappears from behind the curtain shockingly alive and well is always going to be a difficult one for a writer or director to resist if the opportunity presents itself, no matter how tenuous.

Good writers will interrogate the plausibility within the text’s logic and, however mournfully, dismiss it if it can’t be satisfactorily explained: How a fully grown Maddy clone might exist; had this plan been in the works for decades? Yet never mentioned, or alluded to in SP, or any of the Craig film’s who’s plots we’re now given to understand were all orchestrated by Blofeld…

Personally I’d have to trash the fully grown Maddy clone idea (as exciting as that reveal may be).

But it sounds like we may indeed have one child Maddy clone, which is entirely plausible. Though, perhaps, she’d need to be no older that the years that have passed since a sample was taken in the kidnap finale of SP.

I suppose Blofeld may have known about Maddy’s hiding place in the Alps all along, but that makes much of SP moot, at least dramatically speaking.

Ok, he might’ve have taken samples at any point before Mr White went rogue, but why? There’d really need to be a damn good reason that’s integral to the plot (which is pretty obvious, I guess).

Maybe there could be a whole gaggle of young Maddy clones - that’s a disturbing reveal! But, again why Maddy? If that’s just to spite Bond, then I’m afraid they’ve totally lost me.

Perhaps in an amalgamation of OHMSS and The Boys From Brazil, the young Maddys have all been prime with some dastardly genetic maguffin and distributed across the globe in strategic locations for blackmail or terrorism…?

However, such process, any thorough interrogation of ideas appears absent from the work of certain individuals within the franchise (one can surmise, but who really knows the guilty parties?). So I wouldn’t be at all surprised if there’s a ‘T’Daaa!’ moment in which fully grown Maddy clone is revealed with no more explanation than, ‘How dya like dem apples, Bond?’

Such crap wouldn’t get past Danny Boyle and I really hope that CJF is just as strict a taskmaster.

Having seen Trance, I’m not sure i’d agree.

Fair enough!

Oops, totally forgot about that. Wishful thinking, perhaps.

A clone of Madeleine would be too much BR 1049.

But what if Blofeld had clones? The copy Blofeld is in prison, having been responsible for the lackluster plan in the last film… yeah, getting full DAF on that one!

The only demand I have for this movie is:
Please, no clones.

If genetics are at play, the super soldier/Master Race angle could be an option?

I guess in the end it will all be about something completely different.

The OHMSS vibes they were pushing with Spectre makes me think some kind of genetics update on that biological warfare plot: and I’d be there for that.

Not at all surprising. SPECTRE has been in the background of all of the Craig films. With Waltz returning, there’s no reason to think that Craig’s swansong won’t also feature the organization.

Well, CJF is a fan of AVTAK.

I imagine the genetics connection as already been pointed out by someone.

I endorse this message.

More likely to be the case IMO.

Filming apparently currently ongoing in Swinley Forest near London.

I would assume that’s where this photo from Cary is too:
