Not certain if this is still the old problem we’ve had before.
This “new” (actually, it stopped being “new” years ago) system has a tendency to “do” things automatically, and among them is the handling of new users. There’s some kind of “trust level” that it uses, and we somehow haven’t been able to entirely turn that off. Could be that you first have to show some activity on the board (i.e. read some topics, make a few pots etc.), before it classifies you as trusted user instead of new user and allows you to use your Gravatar profile picture. I’ve re-checked the settings (and adjusted some: some people will be happy that the number of possible consecutive posts is now five instead of three). and from what I can se and say, it should work like that.
But I can’t promise. We try our best, but the tech-savvy folks have become a rare species among the CBn team…

It doesn’t give me the option of changing it either. That option hasn’t been available for quite a while, actually.
Same here. Seems even with admin-level authorisation I could only change back to the system default image, i.e. some uppercase D with background in some colour/shade. The Gravatar link is definitely no longer available.
Appreciate your prompt responses! I’ll carry on with my current avatar for the time being but will keep an eye out to see if there are any changes on my end. Cheers!
