s-l400 (1) last but not least… Not an official James bond necktie, but a 007 opening credits style lady

So that Is my nine 007 ties, I have a 007 tie clip too

I usually don’t wear ties - the only occasions I did in the past few years were on Bond related events - so the only ones I have are the ones I inherited from my father.

But I do have a tie clip, which a friend gave me for birthday last year, along with a matching set of cufflinks. Intended to wear them on the NTTD premiere, but, you know…

:sunglasses:

Stellar Stromberg! As I recall, at the Admiral’s wedding, you and I were the only guys proudly rocking our three piece suits complete with cufflinks, pocket squares and tie bars. We were also, seemingly, the ONLY chaps who had cigarettes as everyone somehow didn’t bring theirs.

I’m wondering what tie to wear to the cinema tomorrow

I settled on this one with a cream suit and blue shirt like DC wore in the pre title sequence, only difference was his outfit cost about ten times what mine did!

Not a necktie, but a pocket square I bought on eBay today. There are a few people selling them, but I can’t find anything about them! Does anyone here know please?

Thanks in advance

It’s from this, I expect (don’t really want to begrudge you your purchase, and I must have been in an especially foul mood that day i.e. awake):

To which I recall my immediate, and now unchanged, reaction was:

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… a pocket square (worth 11p).
On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… one poker chip and a pocket square (worth 11p).
On the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… cheap key rings, one poker chip and a pocket square (worth 11p)
On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… stale choc-o-lates, cheap key rings, one poker chip and a pocket square (worth 11p).
On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… Some Old Dice. Stale choc-o-lates, cheap key rings, one poker chip and a pocket square (worth 11p).
On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… drinks measure thingy, Some Old Dice. Stale choc-o-lates, cheap key rings, one poker chip and a pocket square (worth 11p).
On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… playing cards in plastic, drinks measure thingy, Some Old Dice. Stale choc-o-lates, cheap key rings, one poker chip and a pocket square (worth 11p).
On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… a semi-precious bullet, playing cards in plastic, drinks measure thingy, Some Old Dice. Stale choc-o-lates, cheap key rings, one poker chip and a pocket square (worth 11p).
On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… a box with gold foil scribbles, a semi-precious bullet, playing cards in plastic, drinks measure thingy, Some Old Dice. Stale choc-o-lates, cheap key rings, one poker chip and a pocket square (worth 11p).
On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… the distinct impression she doesn’t like me (why is she giving me this absolute crap?), a box with gold foil scribbles, a semi-precious bullet, playing cards in plastic, drinks measure thingy, Some Old Dice. Stale choc-o-lates, cheap key rings, one poker chip and a pocket square (worth 11p).
On the eleventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me… the truth, that this egregious and cynical pile of tatty stocking fillers cost Ā£199. Or several multiples of that, because of the the repetition of the giving.
On the twelfth day of Christmas, I gave my true love a divorce. The paperwork cost considerably less and it brought more joy than all those pocket squares (worth 11p).

Jesus W. Pepper, what a shambles.

Appreciating the song notionally recognises at its opening the birth of someone born yesterday, you’d have to be to be lured in by this utter mendacity.

Not really an Advent calendar, is it, if for after Christmas? Given what Advent… means.

Bruxism has set in. Although that might be the stale choc-o-lates.

Lovely song there Jim!

No, you are not putting down my purchase at all, I am happy to find out where it came from, I paid a bit more than 11p though

It also explains why the pocket squares, keyrings and casino chips have suddenly flooded eBay !
