But there is another rumor on the inter web: the guy behind BB could be Edgar Wright.

Well, at least we know this: BB and CN do know each other personally, and if the rumors of last year are true they did have a talk about Bond.
Let´s assume that they disagreed about something (approach, organizational details about the production, timing) - it would not be the end of it, and strategy would command Nolan to step away for BB to court him again.
Does she want him to steer Bond into a new era?
I imagine she would be quite happy to give him more power and responsibility.
Would he want to do it after his Oscar success?
Doubtful. He would rather fail with his next original project than be the guy who did not quite pull off a new Bond.
But would his Bond film fail? Right now, the mix of a new Bond film and a new Nolan film would at least draw a gazillion viewers, regardless of whether they actually liked the finished film.
So it´s actually a win-win if he took it on, right?
