So sad. Gene Hackman was awesome. He was great in Hoosiers and many other films. I would have loved to have seen him in a Bond film. I loved his chuckle. It always brought a laugh. He will be missed. R.I.P. :broken_heart:

When Were Kings is an excellent documentary on the Rumble in the Jungle even if you’re not a boxing fan.

R.I.P. Clive Revill. He was the original voice of the Emperor in Star Wars (The Empire Strikes Back at least). It’s not known why he didn’t come back. Also, he was the original voice of Alfred on Batman: The Animated Series. He left after the first 3 (produced) episodes. Simply because of another commitment. He will be missed.

I had my memorial screening two days ago–AVANTI! (1972) without realizing it. A master class in comic timing and support, Revill makes the film a true (and rare) three-hander. He was also a fine Columbo villain.

One of the finest! I shall raise a glass of whiskey to him tomorrow: this far… and no further.

Sad in Brooklyn, but look what was referred to in both headlines.

Mr. Wint is forever.

The memorial screening is self-evident.
