I recently stumbled across this series on Netflix, starring none other than Sean Bean! I wasn’t sure at first, but after several episodes I can’t get enough! I’m half-way through the second and final season.
It is a period piece set in 1800’s London and is more or less a detective piece with quite a twist… to say the least!
I’ve only seen the first episode yet, am still making up my mind. Feels quite different from Penny Dreadful and Peaky Blinders, not as hip or artfully gothic. It’s a few years old and didn’t make much waves when it first aired. Bean is a definite asset here, that’s why I think I’ll give it a couple more episodes.
