What do you think about the NTTD release date?

I think we’re seeing that it’s a Joker.

Could be a Visa - or an organ donor‘s…

In my opinion BOND 26 will only happen once a huge backlog of behind-the-scenes problems is solved. The entire MGM/Eon balance seems not ideal to deal with. And what good would a detailed strategy à la Marvel have done when one of its architects and builders is suddenly broke or changes hands?

I’m just looking forward to seeing NTTD. What may or may not be happening behind the scenes doesn’t really seem worth my worry time at the minute. What is looking likely, based on the evidence so far, is that NTTD looks like an absolutely cracking film and, for that, I’m grateful!

What we’ve seen so far looks pretty decent bordering on fabulous. As fans we should be in for a treat and I’d say there is little doubt they want to deliver, ‘they’ being the entire cast and crew. With our man Craig probably the most eager to go out on a high.

Everything else since they wrapped production isn’t really in their hands; not the pandemic, not the botched promo campaign at half cock. And certainly not the haggling for a streaming premiere or MGM’s price.

As fans - casual or hardcore - we probably best enjoy the spectacle once we can. Everything else is not really within our powers to influence.

Exactly. Imagine Marvel being tied to MGM.

Even Marvel being tied to Fox was a problem.

It looks sensational, and my interest rivals CR and SF.

From a branding point of view NTTD needs to come out this year. Period. Scarcity creates value, but if left too long it becomes neglect: apathy and irrelevancy. And that’s dangerous territory. There are 24 Bond films but even they can only go so far. New content creates excitement and forward momentum. As long as NTTD remains under lock and key the franchise is stagnant.

Project 007 will be an important component in reaching a new fanbase, and enthusing those already on board. But the films are the linchpin that holds it all together. When the times comes, the relaunch will be as important as 1995 or 2006. If not more so. But NTTD comes first.

Anybody familiar with that version of the trailer ?

is that a fan cut trailer?

It’s odd that there’s no mention of a release date, or even ‘in cinemas’. Looks fine though, emphasis entirely on the mystery of the film, not the action. I wonder if an original trailer would be allowed to pass on most of the stunts?

Has to be. No new footage.

This morning’s delivery. Something to pass the time until the film… For an afternoon, anyway. And the only affordable thing in the 007 store.

You will have so much fun with this!

Did you check for venomous snakes? Genetically altered vampire bats?
No ticking noises coming from the box? Or ominous led countdowns?

I just ask because mine had them all…

Now that you mention it, I didn’t actually order this. Hmm. A suspicious circumstance.

I shall get the dog to open it. And then it can eat the Die Another Day pieces.

Barely though

Just saw that it’s “12+”.
You may want to wait a couple of years before trying this.

As an aside: I bought one of those with nothing on it, about 600 pieces of silvery-grey emptiness.

It’s a most satisfying pastime, before I knew it 15 years had passed and I didn’t even finish the frame. I suspect the missing years of my youth must be stored in that thing somehow.

My daughter took it with her some time ago. It’s probably now waiting up on her attic together with a box of Jumanji…
