Some actors donāt want a role like Bond because theyāre worried it will overshadow their career. Idris Elba seems to be suffering all of the negatives of being associated with Bond without ever having played the character.
I remember back in 2018 articles about Elba being cast as Bond completely overshadowed the release of Yardie, his cinematic directorial debut.

He probably would have been, I agree.
Heād also make a fantastic M as well moving forward. He definitely has the gravitas needed to command that office set in the way that Fiennes, Dench, Brown, and Lee did during their time in the role.

Very good actor, strongly recommend you watch The Capture. He is the series 1 lead. It has this whole thing that Holiday Granger is lead but thereās a second lead and he changes every series. Series 3 is more Bondish but Turner, rightly, got awards for his series 1 character.

Canāt say Iām familiar with him apart from the usual tabloid articles, but I guess he has the general look. Other people do too, though. Iām all for Amazon screen testing widely.

I donāt know much about Turner, but apparently he has George Clooneyās endorsement.
I suppose weāll also see Nicholas Galitzine test for it as well. Heās done quite a bit of work for Amazon and/or MGM here in recent years.

A lot of the betting sites have Turner as the hottest pick.
That means something to me since a lot of these bets are usually rigged.
Someone could have some inside information and is trying to make a quick buck out of it.

I was only old enough for Craig being announced.
I was alive for Brosnan but it was nearer to TWINE before i got into Bond.
Brosnan, i gathered later, was predicted. Craig seemed to come out of nowhere.
Is there something we should be looking for?
Turner feels right but this is a complete reset with only Amy Pascal having worked on a Bond movie before so it feels even harder to guess
