I am beyond shocked. I had hoped La-La Land Records would eventually do Never Say Never Again, but I didn’t think it would happen until ALL of the EON James Bond expanded film scores were made available. And I was more expecting that it would NOT happen.
Even though NSNA is the worst Bond score, there are some good cues, and I am still thrilled that La-La Land is releasing an expanded score as I consider the film to be good enough and faithful enough to the source material (as well as starring Sean Connery) to be an “official” film in the 007 series. You guys made my day with this news. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Unexpected but very welcome. I hope @DLibrasnow hears about this. He’s a huge NSNA fan. It was his favourite Bond movie until Skyfall came along.

Damn completism. The Japanese NSNA vinyl is top on my list, even though I don’t really intend to ever listen to it, and now this (the price is okay, it’s just the shipping costs and those damn tariffs and taxes). The day will come on which I’m happy that I bought it. Hopefully.
And all this with the extended “Goldfinger Files” coming out. Major bloodletting.

Same for me. Not embarrassingly bad, but not great either.
I greatly preferred Serra’s GE score, even though I didn’t love it either outside of replicating the Bond theme on timpani drums–that was quite cool.
That’s where we agree. I always thought the theme song nailed it!

The last two soundtracks haven’t been what I’ve wanted, but I’m happy to see content is still being released. It’s been a consistent stream for a while now which bodes well for the future.

Ahaaa! I see an email from The Royal Mail that they have received a parcel from Event Merchandising Ltd aka the 007 store aka the second Golden Gun lp! Let’s see how quick PostNL is this time, with a little help from me ofcourse! 
The other one, send from Lala, is with me in half an hour!!

Just paid the tax on PostNL so the other Golden Gun vinyl version will arrive here soon too.
It realy helps now I know when an item goes to customs, I have to keep an eye on the PostNL website and pay the tax as soon as it is indicated, instead of waiting until I receive a notification from them.

That is a surprise because I did not think many Bond fans would praise this one that much, so it is quite interesting that LLL produced it nevertheless with all their usual high-quality work. Personnaly I never liked the music of Michel Legrand in general, although I have to admit it is always very well and tastefully written (he did also some great work on french animated series), but I never got hooked, I can’t explain why.

The Thomas Crown Affair is fantastic, one of my favorite scores ever.
“The Boston Wrangler” track I like the most.

Goes to show how popular that score is. I can see The Living Daylights being popular as well if it ever gets the same treatment. That’s the one I really want.

Of the non-expanded scores that we are currently missing, I would rank my order of desire for them thusly:

The Spy Who Loved Me – So much is missing from that soundtrack that it would be great to hear the full thing or, at least, a greatly expanded one.

Dr. No – I know it’s not one of the best scores–and it sounds like we may never get it–but other than the James Bond Theme all the best tracks are NOT on the current soundtrack. Those being the Death Of Dr. No, Killing The Guard, and Death Of The Tarantula. I think if we were to ever get an expanded score, then people’s opinion of it would be a bit better even if it’s never one of their favorites.

Goldfinger – Again, it sounds like we’ll never get it especially since we got a recent re-release without the expanded score. But it is a classic and deserves to be heard in full.

From Russia With Love – And once again another score we’ll probably never get expanded, but it would be great to have.

A View To A Kill – It is one of the few James Bond soundtracks to have never gotten any extra tracks other than those in the original release so an expanded one would be terrific.

GoldenEye – Similar to AVTAK. Not among the best scores, but still a fairly entertaining one in its own right.

You Only Live Twice – A great score. John Barry does Japan. We’ve gotten some extra music in the past, but not a fully expanded score and certainly not in film order.

For Your Eyes Only – Another great score, this one by Bill Conti. Like YOLT, we’ve gotten extra music, but not fully expanded.

The Living Daylights – And again another great score by Barry. Similar situation to YOLT and FYEO.

Casino Royale – I’ve never heard the iTunes extra tracks that was released after the original soundtrack, so it would be good to hear them as well as the rest of the expanded score.

Quantum Of Solace – The Daniel Craig soundtracks have had many more tracks than those released previously, but they still aren’t the full scores.

Skyfall – See QOS.
