Favourite James Bond soundtracks

And just think–next year a remixed/remastered version of Diamonds are Forever can come out in honor of its 53rd anniversary, commemorating the age Connery looks in the film.

No, no, no (quoting Brosnan in GoldenEye)! Moonraker first!
TSWLM and Golden Gun next! That are the most important ones! :yum:

In the spirit of the season, and with a New Year on the near horizon, we will let a a stern warning suffice.

This time.

P.S. Considering both that DAF was a British production, and what occurs to Mr. Wint, maybe it should be called La Bum Surprise?

New Years Day is my birthday, so some surprise wouldn’t go amiss.

Happy birthday!! And may whatever you receive be as full of wit, charm, and style, and generate as much pleasure as the film that we know (and some love) as DAF.

DAF is fantastic! And I’m probably one of the few who thinks that Connerly looks better than ever in it!

My husband agrees with you about Connery. He likes Cary Grant older as well. (He also prefers older men to date–which has redounded to my advantage for 20 years and counting).

Connery in DAF and Grant in for example Charade look very mature and have an air of completely in control and as a teenager when I saw those movies for the first time on vcr or on tv I could imagine and hope that when I one day grew up, I would be just like them. But yeah…I still hope to grow up one day.

Interesting to see the votes for TMWTGG’s score here, given that it somehow finished dead last in the DeathMatch this month, below even GE and LTK (!!!).

My personal preference would be MR. When the 2003 release came out, the missing material was declared as “lost”. But a certain expert once told me that the material isn’t really lost, they just didn’t look in the right places…

I concur. Thank you nsbulk and your crew for all your hard work on these Bond (and others) CDs.

Fantastic 2 releases from LLL Records Live & Let Die & Octopussy

I really hope we see more expanded scores this year from LLL records because if they release via anniversary dates they might follow the below schedule, if not it would be great if they just released all of the Bond scores like they did in 2003 but obviously fully expanded & in chronological score order with all the missing music cues & Original album with extras like Live & Let Die & Octopussy this year.

Top of my list are all of the John Barry Bond scores but most wanted expansions are Moonraker , Thunderball & OHMSS

2024:

  1. Goldfinger (60th)

  2. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (55th)

  3. The Man With The Golden Gun (50th)

  4. Moonraker (45th)

  5. License To Kill (35th)

2025:

  1. Thunderball (60th)

  2. A View To A Kill (40th)

  3. GoldenEye (30th)

  4. Spectre (10th)

  1. Diamonds Are Forever (55th)

  2. For Your Eyes Only (45th)

  3. Casino Royale (20th)

Hum…Just looking at the La-La Land Records site and my order has still not been processed.
Also I saw that the Octopussy cd is out of stock.
That doesn’t sound good, right?

LLL has explained it: there were problems with the manufacturer, due to offices closed during the break between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

There will be a delay, but every order will come as fast as possible!
