Favourite James Bond soundtracks

Thanks for the update.

Are you able to let us know if LLL have got any more Bond scores in the pipeline? :slightly_smiling_face:

He can´t say this now - but the collaboration with EON in the past and this one bodes well.

From La La Land’s MV, via Film Score Monthly:

“Please note that our contract stipulates that Goldfinger and any future Bond titles will be sold exclusively through the 007 store and the La La Land Records website for the first 90 days of its release. Should there be any remaining stock of the agreed upon 5000 unit run then, and only then, are we allowed to offer the Bond titles to other stores. There was a lot of back and forth negotiating the terms of this deal with a lot of different parties involved.”

In the pipeline? We already released The World Is Not Enough.

But that one exploded, so it doesn’t count.

I am sure they are taking extra special care with the DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER release, as it is the ne plus ultra of Bond scores and Barry’s composing talent. There will not be any stock left to send to other stores.

Just saying.

Received the Goldfinger cd aprox an hour ago and I’m listen to it right now.
Sounds great, but better than we already had? I don’t honestly know.

Lalaland records surprises with releases to two Bond film scores previously thought of impossible to restore.

I can’t stress enough how monumental this expanded Moonraker score is. What a long time coming. The debate about the tapes potentially being lost went on for years and I bought into the possibility. But here they are, pristine and sounding exactly as they do in the film without any re-recording required. What a relief.

This is a huge win for Moonraker as a whole, especially with it going under a re-evaluation in recent times. The original soundtrack had great content but it was still limited. That didn’t make for the best optics when the reputation for the film itself was mixed. This is a substantial upgrade in the tracklisting to fully showcase the brilliance of Barry’s work. Thanks to all involved in making this happen.

I never ordered something as fast as this. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

I never pre-order anything.

I have pre-ordered the Moonraker soundtrack.

They’re saying it may not arrive until January, but that’s exactly when I will need cheering up.

Bless you LLL.

I haven’t owned anything that can play a CD in 15 years and now I’m tempted to buy a player…

Christmas comes early this year! :+1: :grinning: :+1:

This is wonderful news. I’ll be ordering my copies ASAP.

As David_M said, “Bless you LLL” and, I suppose, thank you EON.

Can’t wait to hear them.

After the GOLDFINGER release in October and now these two, always also available on the 007.com store, it seems likely that EON has signed off on releasing all the complete Bond scores in this pristine fashion.

Finally. Look out for the next anniversary years…

I’ll be happy when they release the complete original score from “The Spy Who Loved Me”.

Although… I’m getting greedy now and I also want the complete scores of “A View To A Kill”, “Licence To Kill” and “GoldenEye” and while we’re at it, also double cd’s of “Thunderball”, “You Only Live Twice” and “O.H.M.S.S.”.

Same for me, I ordered both soundtracks immediatly when I saw the announcement!
For years I have been listening to the incredible re-construction job from Georg Kroener on Youtube, finally we do have a proper release for these two wonderful soundtracks!
Now it will be interesting for LLLrecords to compare the sales from the TMWTGG+MR soundtracks, and the GF one, the latter having not brought any new unreleased material (although of course it proposed enhanced master). This would highlight where the demand mainly is, and support the release of previously unreleased expanded scores. I am saying this because honestly my next priority (being greedy too) would be to get proper extended soundtracks for TSWLM, AVTAK, LTK and GE. EMI already did a very good job with the other soundtracks in 2003. Anyway thanks a lot to La-la-land Records, they are making a lot of friends in the Bond community those days!
