The ski chase in FYEO.
Bond actor/film mixup:
George Lazenby in For Your Eyes Only
or
Roger Moore in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service?
The ski chase in FYEO.
Bond actor/film mixup:
George Lazenby in For Your Eyes Only
or
Roger Moore in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service?
I’ve said it before:
George in YOLT. (EDIT yes, I mean FYEO)
Can you imagine him saying “Goodbye, Countess” to Lisl lying in the sand?
Of course, if Roger had signed on in '69, the series would have been more stable going into the 70s, but there would have been no Persuaders!
Who would have been a better Bond in AVTAK:
Timothy Dalton
or
Ian Ogilvy
?
Do you mean George in FYEO?
Dalton, because we know him and it would be fun to see him against Mr Cow Bell.
Zorin in a Brosnan film
OR
Sanchez in a Craig film
?
Sanchez in a Craig film.
Sean Connery in A View To A Kill
or
Roger Moore in Never Say Never Again?
Ohh… Roger in Never Say Never Again might have actually worked.
Mix and match Bonds vs villains:
Pierce Brosnan vs Mads Mikklesen’s Le Chiffre, Timothy Dalton vs Sean Bean’s Alec Trevelyan OR Daniel Craig vs Robert Carlyle’s Renard?
Definitely Tim Dalton vs. Sean Bean.
Better Bond scene involving a countess and battling thugs on a beach:
Lazenby 007 battling Draco’s thugs on the beach in OHMSS
or
Moore 007 battling Kristatos’ thugs on the beach in FYEO?
That’s a tough one as they are both great scenes, but I prefer the OHMSS sequence.
Better novel adaptation:
Casino Royale
OR
From Russia with Love
?
Tough, but let’s go with FRWL
Preferred scene in YOLT:-
or
??
I think you won the thread with that. Took 8 days before anyone could answer.
Litttle Nellie. She’s iconic!
Most wasted use of gadget filled car
Lotus Esprit Turbo with its self-destruct in FYEO
or
BMW Z3 with its early hostile warning in Goldeneye
Most definitely the BMW Z3, with it’s touted stingers. At least the Lotus in FYEO gave us the hilarious burglar protected moment.
More outlandish Fleming scene from the novels:
Goldfinger actually trying to steal all the gold from Fort Knox
OR
The entire final third of Doctor No
?
Goldfinger
Preferred casino scene:-
Thunderball
or
OHMSS
??
Both are great but you just can’t beat Connery baiting Largo with “It’s your SPECTRE against mine…” in Thunderball.
Preferred underwater battle… Bond and Anya in the Lotus sub vs Stromberg’s goons in The Spy Who Loved Me OR Bond and Melina vs Kristatos’ goons in For Your Eyes Only?
Bond and Anya in the Lotus sub vs Stromberg’s goons
Preferred Ken Adam-designed set:
Drax’s space station in Moonraker
or
Blofeld’s extinct volcano rocket base in You Only Live Twice?
The volcano base is the best
Preferred scenario for Bond 25 -
Bond rejoins MI6 half way through the movie
or
Bond doesn’t re-join Mi6 at all
?
Bond rejoins MI6.
Which of the new Bond ladies is most likely to be a femme fatale:
Ana de Armas
OR
Lashana Lynch
OR
Both
?
Hmm…I’m gonna go with Lashana Lynch.
Which confirmation do you think we’ll get first? Confirmation of composer for the film, confirmation of title sequence director ( Daniel Kleinmann hopefully) OR confirmation of title for the film?
I think we’ll get the title first - they have to release a trailer at some point! By the end of August?
What Bond outfit would you rather go out in public wearing?
Lazenby’s brown and orange golf jumpsuit ensemble?
Or Connery’s pink shirt and sandals horror show from YOLT?
I’m thinking October for the trailer. I believe EON tends to drop the first trailer roughly 6 months before release, which would place it in October for an April release.
Definitely, the pink shirt. Wearing pink doesn’t bother me. His awful suit with the pink tie in DAF is far worse.
Will Waltz’s Blofeld appear in Bond 25:
Yes, he is still alive somewhere and being kept under wraps
OR
No, he wasn’t in the official cast list and is therefore not in the movie
OR
Yes and No, Waltz isn’t in the movie, but Malek is Blofeld
?
No, not in the movie…
Say that Rami Malek’s character gets to be seen in a tux in Bond 25… Which would look better on him? Black jacket and black tie OR White jacket and black tie?
White jacket and black tie. The Goldfinger/Spectre association makes it like he’s purposely antagonising Bond.
Malek;
Spectre operative/fanboy (like Andrew Scott’s C)
Or
His own thing (like Goldfinger, a break in a pattern)
