Mission: Impossible 7 & 8 (2023/2024)

Well, it’s definitely a feature produced to promote the MI anniversary. It’s got to pop up somewhere.

Looking forward to the next MI movie perhaps more than the next 007 outing.

Awesome.

Looks incredible

Looking forward to these movies, for me the Craig years proved to be a disappointment after CR. NTTD was the biggest disappointment even if it was not his worst movie.

Dune part two and these two MI movies are the ones I look most forward followed by The Batman with Robert Patterson and the Flash movie mostly because of Batfleck and Keaton.

So, Batman and Affleck are now dating?

It was the unhealthy rebound after his divorce. It was then a very bitter break up, but, hey, he’s back with J-Lo now

Pity, was looking forward to it.

But marketwise it makes sense.

MI7 now has a longer Covid related delay compared to NTTD - beating it by 6 months

And wanna bet that Ethan Hawke is not going to die. I expect no emo Ethan.

Ethan Hawke and his family would be very pleased, but where’s the relation to Mission Impossible?

The relation being that Ethan Hunt used his private live with far better style and scripts then our 007 has done in the last 3 movies.
I have found the scripting and action delivered by the MI series since MI3 far superiour to the 007 movies in the last 3 movies and frigging less emo.
MI series are currently my favorite spy franchise in cinema, as the Craig years kinda lost me as a 007 movie franchise fan.

Look, they can do whatever they want to with the MI and 007 series as long as Ethan Hawke doesn’t end up dying.

“Boyhood” is a favorite and I have mad respect for anyone who can look like that and still bed Uma.

At least you’re still here.

The advantage that M:I-7 has is that they haven’t even started marketing yet. I mean we don’t even know the full title yet. NTTD was far enough in that they had to start and stop marketing each time it shifted. Top Gun: Maverick on the other hand…

I recently bought all the Mission films on Blu-ray along with a bunch of other classics I never got around to purchasing for some reason. I’m annoyed by the delays, but I’m confident the wait will be worth it. They have more than enough time to fine tune the final product.
