Jack Lowden would be mine, but i definitely wouldn’t say no Hoult.
I just hope Lex isn’t the only villain in Superman: Legacy. In other science fiction news: https://www.cbr.com/dave-filoni-lucasfilm-cco/
Is it weird I’m getting mostly excited about the classic Superman characters being cast?
Don’t sweat it. Before you know it, it will be just another paraphilia in the DSM-VI, and join the long list of fetishes one can tick off on kink websites:
Secondary Fetish–loves to dress-up/roleplay as a minor character from classic superhero narratives. Often accompanied by Imperiled Fetish, where one is captured by a villain, and requires rescuing. Bondage often included.
Enter the Karate Kid-verse…
There´s so much stuff in the first three books they didn´t use in the movies, they could make another trilogy of it…the appeal for mass audiences is another story (maybe something like #pokemonbourne)
Classic Superman will always be the best.
And you know I don’t like Donner’s Superman as much as most.
Though I am aware the things I don’t like in it are all Salkind…
I dunno, most of it unusable, given the main villain of 1 & 3 is a real person.
What‘s not to like?
The goofball “humour” that the Salkinds crank up to 11 once they fired Donner.
I see. But The movie did that well with Luthor under Donner‘s direction, I think.
I gather Hackman and Brando didn’t film anything after Donner was fired.
Not to mention their pure greed. They easily could have been Superman’s Cubby Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, or Batman’s Michael Uslan. But all they cared about was money.
Gunn hasn’t put a foot wrong with the casting so far. Fingers crossed they have a good script to match.
I agree. I’m still hoping for a new Superman villain(s) from the comics.
