Upside is, in a few years this stuff lands directly on TikTok.
Exactly what I thought. Way too much is shown in trailers. I feel like a bare bones teaser would be more effective.
I have never seen the animated original, nor do I have the desire to. But these reasons for the film‘s wild success are interesting - also for Bond:
That man on the right rings a belll…
Good running time! (With credits running for 10 minutes these days, two hours is absolutely enough.)
It will also help at the box office.
Stoker’s Coppola’s Besson’s DRACULA; looks nifty.
Nifty? Handy? Clever? In what way?
In rehashing much of Coppola’s film seemingly frame-by-frame, slapping on a couple of scenes the original left on the cutting room floor and selling the result as a new film. One cannot tell for sure from such a short trailer but I would likely feel as if I’ve already seen this. Minus Waltz, obviously.
Yes, I agree, it realy reminds one of the Coppola movie from thirty years ago.
And substituting CGI for in-camera effects.
I am not a Besson fan. And I don’t understand why a new „Dracula“ film (another origin story even) was deemed marketable after „Nosferatu“ late last year.
Is this a yearly event now?
Out-of-copyright IP blooms eternal.
Not a film being made, but McQ makes some brilliant points about coming up with ideas on a character.
