I haven’t seen any of those. But I‘m delighted that they won‘t have more films than Bond.
All good things must come to an end.
I wouldn’t count out Fast & Furious yet. When the “last” one makes a billion dollars, they may put the franchise on ice for a short while, but rest assured, it’ll be back.
Will it come earlier than NTTD?
Maybe they should do a double pack as a VHS and sell it for Christmas 2021.
I havent’ seen the last one, but as for the others, once was enough.
PVOD, guys. Why don’t you want to make money?
Wow, another big movie slated for a cinema release (in the US) is coming to… Netflix in the rest of the world.
This makes sense as it goes along with Amazon’s Jack Ryan series rights.
The recent spikes in covid cases this week should prove that no movie will open in the remainder of 2020. If Halloween created the recent spikes in cases, imagine what Thanksgiving will do and then Christmas break.
At least there’s promising vaccine news, and an emerging plan for the U.S. Government to tackle coronavirus in 2021.
I think there is not much chance of restrictions being significantly eased before spring. Much has been made of lockdowns coming now to save Christmas - but then we’d just be in the same spot again in January with at least another month of cold conditions in the northern hemisphere to weather. Hardly what we can call a good plan.
As for the vaccine, it’s doubtless fine to have a plan for distribution. But it’s still not here, not confirmed or approved. And judging from past performance with test and trace there’s considerable room for improvement by the authorities right now, right here; never mind the vaccine.
It would already be a huge success if countries could manage to suppress the virus to levels of April 2020 over the winter and find a way to keep their economies afloat to some extent.
We’d be lucky if vaccination could start by spring and it will probably take the best part of another year until the part of the population willing to have the shots may get them. How much legitimate concerns about this vaccine will influence that decision, how much more damage the anti-vaxers will do with their narrative in the meantime…nobody can tell for sure now.
We’ll see about the vaccine. The timing of the announcement already shows that they’re playing politics with it even within the company, although I’m glad that they waited, in the grand scheme of things, until after the election.
A scientific venture of this magnitude that should benefit ALL of mankind, should be void of political influence. We’re not seeing that thus far, and it’s concerning.
On the movie front, hopefully we’ll see WONDER WOMAN test the streaming waters. I really don’t feel like waiting until 2022 or 2023 to see Bond and Ghostbusters, but that’s where we’re headed until some company tests the waters with a major release like WONDER WOMAN.

And so it begins…
