This analysis from Variety about Indy‘s box office should give EON food for thought. Even if NTTD was released during the pandemic…:

“Dial of Destiny” is on pace to fall roughly 56% from its subdued $60 million three-day opening, the same percentage tumble that Daniel Craig’s 007 swan song “No Time to Die” saw in its second weekend. Both tentpoles skew toward older audiences, but the James Bond entry faced relatively little competition in the fall of 2021, sticking around domestic charts for weeks.

Interesting developments on “Superman Legacy” today.

Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner (one iteration of Green Lantern), Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific.

Fillion will be happy. He’s been playing animated Green Lantern for years!

So, writers and actors… Good solidarity. But the studios really don’t seem willing to compromise.

This is going to be very ugly and potentially devastating to many creative people…

It’s the same attitude they had with Covid - studios think they can bully their way out of any problem.
