News on NO TIME TO DIE (no spoilers)

Don’t know if it’s been posted anywhere, here’s the German version of the teaser:

Danke.

Next up for Burns is writing “No Time to Die,” the 25th installment in the James Bond franchise. Even for a guy who helped write a “Bourne” movie, the project marked a thrilling benchmark in his career.

“It was being able to throw in with a group of really talented people on a franchise that had a huge impact on me,” he says of the process. “I mean, it’s a dream come true to have grown up in Minnesota watching James Bond movies, and then you look at your laptop and you’re writing the name Bond and then writing dialogue underneath it. If anybody would have told me that was ever going to happen, I would have never believed them.”

Nice to see the writing team of a film acting as spokesmen (spokespeople?) For a Bond film. Normally only after the films out the writers talk on Bond.

Interesting observation; it’s true that this time the writing part seems to get a lot more attention than they usually seem to at this stage.

I don’t think this is a conscious decision on Eon‘s part so much as a shift of the public focus towards the creative talents in the industry and the favourable timing of PWB’s and Burn’s latest successes.

Yes, it is just a coincidence, with 2 of them having industry success and another also being the director, but it’s a nice change of pace to hear 3 writers talking about their love of Bond.

Reading that made me realize Burns is from the town I live in and went to my University about 10 years before me.

Cool.

Mostly that, I think. Burns is a celebrated writer/director, PWB the toast of the town this year - so the publications will seek out their comments. Wouldn’t happen with fantastic writers who are not that high profile.

But I love the fact that those writers now are not ashamed anymore to have written for Bond. In earlier times writers of a certain status would rather have hidden that or bemusedly mentioned how much money they earned for this in order to then do their real passion project.

Interesting (to my eye at least) how the re-positioning of the lettering in the German poster makes Craig’s expression look less fearful/nervous than in the English-language version.

Same with the Spanish one, perhaps more professional graphic designers realised that lowering the lettering made the balance of the image better, and Craig’s look more purposeful somehow

Mi6-HQ guys seem to think a teaser trailer is coming shortly (at least I assume this is what the tweet means)

Some time soon…we’ll that’s…vague

If these sites just keep posting things like that they’ll eventually be right…

Got to give them that, they have such fabulous sources they can already narrow it down to precisely ‘sometime soon’…
