Really depends on your view of QOS, personally thing it’s a really good film that did a masterful job in spite of a writers strike, but TBH, take the comment in whichever way you prefer.
Some of the productions were cursed because they KEPT the composer
Absolutely! Just having fun
I’d say “masterful” is far too generous a word, but I’d agree that if QOS is what happens when Bond is cursed, then the franchise will be all right for a while longer yet
There’s something rebellious and cool about QoS. The barrel at the end, the title cards and the editing. I get a kick out of the movie’s brisk pace, plus it has Mathis, Felix and possibly Arnold’s best score.
Definitely the younger brother of the Dalton movies - it tries to do something new with Bond, and mainly succeeds despite the challenges it faced.
On a side note: Watching the final season of the as always magnificent MR ROBOT I am curious how Malek will play the villain. He always has a kind of instant sympathetic effect on me.
Suppose it depends, on who he thinks his character thought was right. From what’s been speculated it’s a colour wheel of Bond to Mr White to Blofeld. Personally, because it’s how I’d write it, I think his character believes Blofeld was too egotistical, just becoming obsessed with his own vendetta, and should’ve gone farther for a greater good, almost like Samuel L Jackson’s character from Kingsman. It does really depend on how Malek’s character feels about Waltz and his agenda, of which we have no idea.
On me too! Will be very interesting to see and i’m sure he’ll surprise us with something chilling.
Let´s collect: Craig is granting more interviews for “Knives Out”. And everybody will ask him about Bond.
The same things happening with Robert Pattinson right now.Every interview he gives for his latest Film “ The lighthouse”. The interviewers can’t help but completely move the conversation to Tennet and Batman.
Craig seems in high spirits. He clearly truly loves being James Bond, but admits that he is 51 years old and ‘creaky’.
I like the way he wards off the interviewer when asked about PWB. Says he saw Killing Eve and Fleabag and knew he had to get her on board for Bond, since she’s a fantastic writer, but wouldn’t be drawn in to conversation about her gender.
He’s definitely just finished filming his last Bond film.
Apart from the Matera shoot, which was highly visible for obvious reasons, it’s remarkable how watertight the production has been in terms of keeping spoilers to a minimum.
I was in two minds about putting this on the Knives Out thread, on the one hand it’s supposed to be talking about Knives Out, but on the other, it’s mostly the interviewers weird fixation on Craig talking loudly and laughing…
So, no trailer for you then?
One of my favorite quotes ever:
I’m not grumpy. I just grew up in an era when you didn’t look for approval"
Daniel Craig
Just a cool, authentic guy. No BS. He works hard and knows it, and doesn’t feel the need to search for approval from anyone. That’s truly something to admire and learn from.
Also, anyone else who has read the interview put off by the journalist commenting on the volume of Craig’s voice? Why that sort of detail is needed is beyond me.
Perhaps the most insightful quote of the facebook/twitter possessed 21st century. Sums it up in a nutshell.
