Absolutely. I only suggested it might be the case because she seemed to be specifically cast for a particular moment in the film, rather than rely on the other stunt men and women they already have in the cast.
All a more progressive improvement on years gone by though!

It was a weird interview! However, I think the ‘weirdness’ may have produced a little more candour than there otherwise might’ve been from CJF.
I think being weird is the point - it’s meant to be framed as a more informal conversation between friends rather than an interview
Miranda July came across as self-consciously weird - deliberately ‘arty’ - so it was funny when Cary had to ask her to state the question more plainly.
Agreed. I first ran across Interview Magazine on the newsstand in the 80s (middle age man alert!) and it always positioned itself as different in tone. It was not meant to be Vanity Fair, Entertaiment Weekly, Empire Magazine, what-have-you. So the tone of this interview is in-line with how the “publication” has always operated. The editorial tone has always been to “meet” the subject, rather than the standard feature interview piece where the goal is as much to meet the publicist’s needs as anything else. “Hanging out” with the subject, rather than the between-the-lines promotion of event of product.
Maybe if she hadn’t talked about herself so much…
From what I’ve read online, she’s quite polarizing. A lot of people don’t seem to like her because of how intellectual, artistic and bohemian she likes to make herself seem (not framing dialogue in a novel with quotation marks, for example).
Which doesn’t come as a huge surprise now. Still, a most depressing development regardless.

I hope (and I imagine) that BBs not sitting on her hands, but using this time to Zoom writers and directors about their ideas for launching Bond 7 and who might play the part.
Of course there won’t be any casting news without actually auditioning which is impossible at the moment. But I wouldn’t be surprised if by the time lockdown eases enough to allow it they may well have already agreed a direction, team and list of actors to start auditioning.
If so, then is there the slim chance (if NTTD waits for a theatrical release) that they’ll be able to change that end slate from ‘James Bond Will Return’ to ‘James Bond Will Return In blah blah blah’?
