Interesting stuff in there, even if the journalist does seem to be playing hack bingo…
Yes, some nice tidbits in the article. I like the sound of that stunt with the gun and Armas…
New photos from Entertainment Weekly too:
The first time we’ve seen Safin with this particular look:
Intriguing. I still can’t tell if Malik is aged up for this role, or those are supposed to be chemical burns on his face.
Looks like he’s got his own hands.
"Safin also appears to have facial scarring. ‘Let’s just say that there are some immense challenges he has faced in his life,’” says Malek.
That photo of Bond pulling Swan is pretty incredible. I don’t remember Daniel looking this into it last time. He looks amazing. That photo could have been taken in 2006.
I’m guessing both. Note there’s also some gray in his hair.
The setting would indicate he figured into the forest car chase scene.
I also looked closely to see if there were any mo-cap dots to erase & replace his hands digitally; nothing apparent.
Also confirmation of SPECTRE being active: “Blofeld is in Belmarsh Prison,” says Broccoli. “[But] he’s actually communicating to the SPECTRE agents.” and “This set piece takes place at a hotel in Havana where the MI6 agent and Paloma (Ana de Armas), a CIA agent, are battling members of the secret and sinister organization SPECTRE. On this October afternoon, Craig must catch a gun flung into the air by an injured SPECTRE henchman; embrace the also-armed de Armas; pretend to shoot the gun; balletically circle around with his costar; fake-fire the gun again; and finally disengage from the actress so their characters can find shelter behind a pair of pillars.”
This tidbit comes as a surprise to me:
Léa Seydoux is back as French psychologist Madeleine Swann — at the beginning of No Time to Die she’s living peacefully in Jamaica with a retired Bond.
I thought Bond was alone in Jamaica the whole time. Apparently not. Maybe we do see a relationship breakdown of sorts and the moment she leaves.
Seems like a mistake on EW’s part as it has been confirmed in the Empire feature by Barbara that Bond is alone in Jamaica
I don’t see that quote in any of the above EW links…
Yeah, it doesn’t seem right.
Slide four from this link:
Ah, ok. Yeah I agree it’s probably just an error. We know she didn’t shoot there…
The interview with the cast members is probably the most relaxed I’ve seen Craig. He seems at peace with what he’s done with the character, knowing he gave it his all. I feel a satisfied sense of closure - the weight coming off at the end of a long journey. NTTD really is a bonus for him, given his injuries and the consideration of shutting down production completely.
That’s great. Even if he doesn’t leave his cell, his presence is going to be felt on the plot.
Two other possibilities on the side of the No/hands thing: the character has false hands but they’re uncomfortable so Malek took them off between shots; or, the character loses his hands in an altercation with Bond a la how Blofeld got his scar in the last one.
In other words, it neither confirms nor denies.
I like how the film looks based on these stills alone.
Moneypenny’s attire with the orange collar is snazzy, and Lynch’s white dress pops against the dark blue background. The green hue in the Felix shot is gorgeous too.
Absolutely.
I can see that happening
