Slick.
Thanks for posting, just a shame it’s subscription. If anyone wants to cut and paste it here (is that allowed?) one would be most grateful!
He’s not the only one. Whenever a Bond movie comes out, my job temporarily changes from layout designer to editor. As I’m the resident Bond expert at the magazine I work for, I’m responsible for the cover story about the new movie. 20 pages.
Already wrote a large piece myself (ended up with 25.000 letters and had to cut it down to under 10.000), held meetings with the other writers, negotiated about cover photos of Naomie Harris and all that stuff. How I loved to break the news to my boss yesterday evening. What makes it worse is that now my co-workers have to build an entirely new cover story from scratch.
But then again, not all is wasted. I’ll put everything into a drawer and take it out again in a few months…
It’s not, unfortunately.
I like that. It reminds me of the banners for TDK Rises.
Between the black and white poster, the traditional one that followed it, the CR themed banner of Bond walking with the PKK, and now this one, I’m actually really happy with the marketing campaign.
When November hits, I’m seeing this movie 51 times instead of 50.
Anyone see Cary’s insta story? It looks like he’s done with the film so what does he do? Open his cabinet and play red dead redemption. Just absolutely hilarious.
New and fantastic Craig cover feature with GQ

God-damn.
I’m straight, but I said God-damn. He is in fabulous shape, our Daniel. I’m off to have a cold shower…
I somewhat disagree with their intimation in this article that Bond was an archetype that had no change as a character between Connery and Craig… given the actors all had very different takes on the character and very different films
Tremendous read.
Wasn’t expecting such an in-depth article. Fascinating read.
How fitting was the description of the last scene Craig filmed as Bond? Dressed in a tuxedo, running away and becoming ‘one with the night’ as it were. It was meant to be.
The best thing to come out of this is the knowledge that a fresh advertisement campaign will have to fire up in a few months. I obviously love seeing the film but it’s the build up I enjoy the most. I know it sucks it got pushed but hopefully we’ll get more marketing material to pour over as a result. I don’t think there’s an especially high risk of getting shown too much. All of the footage release comes from what appear to be the same few minutes of film. Looking forward to a theatrical trailer, which I’m still noT entirely convinced we would have gotten if the film was still green lit for a few weeks from now.
Yup. Plenty of time to paint a decent poster.
Which, of course, likely won’t happen.
A couple of new interviews:
