NO TIME TO DIE Spoilers (production pictures & videos)

I’m sure you’re right. I just always find it difficult to imagine a scenario in which suits pass up a chance to profit, however complicated. But that’s just my own innate mistrust

Bingo!

EON has always used ideas that were not realized before - so JINX definitely could be reworked if Lynch proves to be a hit with the audience.

I don’t think that anyone involved with TRS is optimistic about that becoming a franchise, though. The ongoing reshuffling of its release could point to unsatisfying previews.

The spin-off ambition timeline seems to be: Jinx < TRS < Lynch.

If they have had to crowbar the seed of a spin off into Bond 25, then i’m not surprised the script’s had issues. And if Lynch is that kind of artificially inseminated character it could explain them turning to PWB solely to try and hide that a little better by giving that character some snappy dialogue.

Gets me wondering if they’ve promised PWB the gig of running Lynch’s female 00 tv series (hypothetically of course).

I would rather they concentrated on cranking out the main Bond films, rather than any spin-off thoughts. It takes long enough to get the main films ready!

It could, but a move from March to Thanksgiving also signals the opposite, rather than a period where films are often dumped, they’ve moved it to a public holiday in potentially their largest market - rather than going up against Dumbo, they’ve pit themselves against Frozen 2.

Though I suspect, given Lynch’s filmography, there was a different film they were wanting to avoid…also a female led action film, but one with the very deep marketing budget of Disney/Marvel

For reasons that would impact any Bond spin offs as well, which I’m sure EON are aware of…

I wonder if Thanksgiving will be kept as the release date. So far there are no trailers, no nothing. Awareness is zero. Not a good strategy to start a new franchise.

The Kings Man, which initially had that November slot, released their first trailer mid July, but then the first Kingsman released their trailer in May for a film not released to the following January.

I too would’ve thought they’d release something by now, but it does seem quite arbitrary in terms of timeframes.

I think the other 4 Craig Bond’s had posters released by this point in their productions, even when they didn’t have titles (wave at QOS) and the aforementioned Kings Man has the slot Bond 25 originally did, until Universal decided April would get them more money.

I think we should use tea leaves to determine studio marketing logic.

Edit: adding credit to YouTube and Wikipedia for timeframes mentioned here.

That’s obviously how they prevent Craig sloping off for a pint between set ups. He’s tied to the other end of that cable straining in the direction of the nearest bar.

What in God’s name are they up to?

Can I ask from where the images came?

I remember rigs like these around Karoly Vary for the CASINO ROYALE shoot; they were there for the lights and to keep cables out of the way if memory serves. Could be they are preparing for a night shoot.

Yes, these are indeed lighting rigs. Often used for the exact above. Running cables in a direct a route as possible when on location such as a winding layout as Matera is based on what Google earth has been able to tell me. I was curious as to the location and also speculating on how whatever chase would run. Great pics though.

Is this about Rhythm Section?

It has already been pushed to February in the UK and other non-US markets.

Did not know that. Maybe EON were more attached to February than we were lead to believe :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Edit: 2020; they year of the spy

The Rhythm Section
The Kings Man
Bond 25
Tenet

And probably much news on MI:7 and Kingsman 3

The second unit and two Valhalla’s have arrived in Italy.

Aston Martin really do seem to go out of their way with this production: two Valhallas (I assumed they only had one operative vehicle ready for BOND 25), the DBS and DB5 in various incarnations shipped around no less than three locations in Europe. There are some big multinational carmakers who don’t go to such lengths in their day-to-day operations any more…

being the “bond car” makes them a tonne (if not most) of their money id bet (cultural cache, cars being seen in the films etc). EON can have whatever they like I’m sure

Probably; nowadays it’s THE unique selling point, Aston now being connected with Bond like no other company.

“No time to die” is the official title
